This guide is for free players who wish to profit from combat. As a general rule, pick the strategy which requires the least consumables (food and potions). Remember that consumables cost money and time, and have to be accounted for when using combat to profit. Part of profiting through combat involves the speed at which players can kill the monsters. Effectiveness Requirements Details ***** Coins 10000 130,000 coins per hour 20+ (higher is recommended), Varrock, and Burthorpe lodestones activated, Crush weapon (recommended) Spider Silk can be sold to the Grand Exchange for 400 coins, and can be found from Giant Spiders and Deadly red spiders in the Varrock Sewers. Home Teleport to Varrock, then run to the market place. From there, run right against the diagonal wall to the right and you should come across a manhole. Enter the manhole. For lower-level players, kill Giant spiders, and for higher-level, kill Deadly red spiders and fill your inventory with spider silk. Home teleport to Burthorpe, run to the bank chest, and repeat. ***** Coins 10000 120,000 coins per hour 10+ Combat (higher is recommended), Karamja, and Burthorpe lodestones activated, Pirate's Treasure quest completed (optional but recommended), 25+ Dungeoneering (optional), 30 coins per run Imphide can be sold to the Grand Exchange for 343 coins, and is a 100% drop from all imps. A plentiful source of imps can be found in the Karamja Volcano resource dungeon. Teleport to Karamja, enter the volcano, enter the resource dungeon (if you cant enter the dungeon many imps can be found on top of the volcano near the rivers of lava), kill Imps and fill your inventory with imphide. Home teleport to Burthorpe, bank and repeat. ***** Coins 10000 130,000 coins per hour 10+ Combat (Higher is Recommended), Completion of Blood Pact, and access to Lumbridge and Edgeville from the Lodestone Network Corpse Spiders can be killed in the Lumbridge Catacombs. Spider silk can be sold at the Grand Exchange for 400 coins. Home Teleport to Lumbridge, then run South and enter the Lumbridge Catacombs. Kill Corpse Spiders and fill your inventory with Spider silk. Home Teleport to Burthorpe, run to the bank chest, and repeat. ***** Coins 10000 30,000 coins per hour Beginners OR +5 combat skills Chickens can be killed in Lumbridge farms, or in the farm south of Falador. Raw chicken can be sold at the Grand Exchange for 211 coins, and bones can be sold at the Grand Exchange for 223 coins. They also commonly drop 5 or 15 feathers that sell for 18 coins each and are used for fly fishing and fletching. ***** Coins 10000 200,000 coins per hour 15+ combat Cows can be killed in the Lumbridge cow fields. Cowhides sell for around 280 coins each to crafters and you can bury or sell the bones. Raw beef from the cows sell for 207 coins each, but also can be used to gain cooking experience. You can also tan cowhides into leather, which sell for around 387 coins each, or hardleather, which sell for 433 coins each. In Burthorpe there is another cow farm. Tan the hides at Jack Oval into leather or hardleather and bank it at the Bank chest. There is also another cow field just north west of the Lumbridge castle, north east of Draynor Village. There is a male NPC in the cow field called Beefy Bill, who will bank your raw beef and cowhides for you. There is, however, a catch. He requires that you give him 10% of what you wish to bank. (Although, with the activated Ring of Charos, he can be charmed into banking them for free.) Another downside, is that you cannot request him to bank anything except for raw beef and cowhides. Despite the downsides, this is much easier than using the Lumbridge cow field, as it is much easier to bank your raw beef and cowhides. ***** Coins 10000 100,000 coins per hour 20+ Ranged Karamja monkeys on Karamja can be killed for their bones, which can be banked quickly with cabbage teleports. Each set of monkey bones will sell for 391 coins. A full inventory of 28 monkey bones is worth 10,948 coins. ***** Coins 10000 110,000 coins per hour 40+ Combat Varrock Guards can be killed directly outside Varrock West Bank for Grapes. Kill the Varrock Guards on the ground floor, then climb the ladder and kill the Varrock Guards on the first floor. Collect 27 grapes, store them in the bank, and repeat. Each bunch of grapes is worth 1,379 coins. ***** Coins 10000 230,000 coins per hour 70+ combat Cockroach soldiers found in the Stronghold of Player Safety can drop death, law or fire runes, noted mithril ore (three at a time) which sell for 1827 coins each, (noted) Adamantite ore (one at a time) which sell for 2,115 coins each, Mithril helms for 262 coins each, Rune sq shields at 22,821 coins each, Rune scimitars for 15,159 coins each and uncut gems from sapphire to diamond. Their attack style is Melee and weakness is Earth Spells. ***** Coins 10000 100,000 coins per hour 65+ combat Hill giants in the Edgeville Dungeon are a common training/money making monster, as they drop big bones, which sell for around 488 coins each. They occasionally drop limpwurt roots, which sell for about 841 coins each. Hill giants also have low Defence so they are not difficult to kill. However, if you have at least 20 Dungeoneering, you can enter the Edgeville Dungeon resource dungeon to kill Hill Giants, which is far less crowded, as well has having 4 Limpwurt root spawns. ***** Coins 10000 40,000 coins per hour 75+ combat Hobgoblins found in the Edgeville Dungeon can be killed for limpwurt roots and grapes. Alternatively, you could go to the peninsula near the Crafting Guild where a group of hobgoblins wander about. Limpwurt roots sell for 841, and are a common drop from the Hobgoblins. Each bank trip with 28 limpwurt roots results in about 23548 coins. Although limpwurt roots do not stack, the decent experience and proximity to a bank make this an attractive option for medium-level players. ***** Coins 10000 80,000 coins per hour 80+ combat Moss giants can be killed in Varrock sewers. They have several good drops, including Law runes, gems and Big bones. The Varrock sewers are often crowded. If you've completed the map for Dragon Slayer, you can also fight Moss giants on Crandor Isle. This location is often less crowded than the Varrock Sewers. ***** Coins 10000 100,000 coins per hour 80+ combat suggested Chaos Dwarves found in the Wilderness can be killed for muddy keys, a very common drop from them, mithril bars, and bones. Usually uncrowded in most worlds (as it is in the Wilderness), this spot provides good experience, although food will be required. Muddy keys sell for 2,438, and are a semi-common drop from the Chaos Dwarfs. Each bank trip with 28 muddy keys results in about 68,264 coins. The mithril bars could also be sold for 1,901. Players should be wary, since they can hit up to 63 quite often, and since the Wilderness is a PVP area. ***** Coins 10000 180,000 coins per hour Very high combat skills, suggested at 95+ in melee skills, 110+ combat Revenants can be killed in the Forinthry Dungeon for the valuables that they drop, such as Corrupt dragon equipment and Ancient artifacts. They can constantly drop coins which can add up to cover some of the losses on the trip. Keep in mind though, players should be careful of PKers as they reside in the deep level 28-32 Wilderness, and players can potentially kill you. This is not recommended for low level players as they can hit extremely hard and can heal themselves faster and harder than a player of their combat level.. By combining different skills, you can gain a considerable sum of both money and experience, rather than too much money and too little experience (or the other way around). Most of these methods do cost a large sum of base funds, and these methods may not be as effective as power levelling or strict money making methods. Additional informationEdit Crafting material and product pricesEdit Grand Exchange Prices Name Effectiveness Requirements Details Additional requirements Making gold jewelry ***** Crafting 8+ Gold jewelry can be made from gold bars (not ores) which gives small amount of profit and crafting experience. Those with gems are not recommended for now. They can be sold to Grum's Gold Exchange or Grand Exchange. Grum's Gold Exchange buys necklaces with better price than rings and amulets. None Collecting Potatoes ***** None Potatoes can be picked at the field directly West of Fred the Farmer's Chicken Farm near Lumbridge It takes approximately thirty seconds (or less) to collect a bag full of potatoes, and takes around a minute and a half to run to the nearest bank and back. Potatoes sell for 147 coins, and so a full inventory of them would yield 4,116, and would allow for a profit of 123,480 per hour, which is a very decent amount for the lack of skills required. If any explorer's ring is used, the profits may exceed 150,000 per hour. If low on energy, rest by the musician in Lumbridge. Alternatively, the potatoes could be used to train cooking. None (An explorer's ring (any type) would be helpful, as they could restore one's run energy) Making bronze bars from scratch ***** None Mining copper and tin ores and smelting bronze bars can be a good combination inclusive a good experience amount. Each bar sells for 226 coins. None Making iron bars from scratch ***** 15 Mining 15+ Smithing Mining iron ores and smelting iron bars can be a good combination inclusive a good experience amount. Each bar sells for 352 coins. Success rate is improved from 50% for 1% per level, until 80% at 45 Smithing and then capped. 45 Smithing (recommended) Making silver bars from scratch ***** 20 Mining 20 Smithing Silver ores can be mined, smithed into bars and sold on the Grand Exchange for 140 coins. The best place to mine silver is Al Kharid mine, featuring 5 rocks and a nearby furnace, but the Crafting Guild features 6 rocks and is unpopulated, though 40 Crafting is required to enter the guild, and the closest bank and furnace is somewhat far away. 40 Crafting Explorer's ring 3 or 4 Making steel bars from scratch ***** 30 Mining 30 Smithing Iron ore and Coal can be mined in 1:2 ratio, smelted into steel bars and sold for 1,015 coins each. 15 Dungeoneering (Dwarven Mine resource dungeon) Making Mithril and Admantite bars, using Dwarven Mine Resource Dungeon ***** 30+ Smithing 30+ Mining 15 Dungeoneering In Dwarven Mine and Mining Guild you can find a fairly abundant supply of rocks for coal, mithril and adamantite ores. Players can access the Resource Dungeon at the west wall of Dwarven Mine with 15 Dungeoneering. A deposit box is available to deposit all the mined ores and returning to bank is unnecessary. Please refer to additional information for skill requirements. 60 Mining (Mining Guild) Making Mithril and Admantite bars, using Superheat ***** 30+ Smithing 30+ Mining 43 Magic Utilising Superheat will allow players to mine Mithril and Admantite for prolonged time at literally everywhere. Players are required to wield Staff of fire, bring 25+ Nature runes, pickaxe, an optional coal bag, the remaining inventory can be filled with ores with some empty slots or completely empty. Superheating will compress the ores mined into bars, just repeat the process and bank when the inventory is filled with bars. Coal bag can be used for extra coal income and speeding up process. This method although earns slower and requires magic, is benefited from less competition and saving time. Please refer to additional information for skill requirements. Mithril and Adamant ores' values looted from the Cockroach soldiers can be enhanced by smelting them either by getting the coals from scratch or buying it to Grand Exchange. Coal Bag Processing pizza and anchovy pizza ***** 15 Fishing 55 Cooking Anchovy pizzas can be produced by buying plain pizzas (cooked one) for 207 coins each; anchovies can be caught at the fishing spot south of Draynor Village, added to the pizzas, and anchovy pizzas being sold for 242 coins each. Alternatively pizza, cheese and tomatoes can be bought for 110, 53 and 67 coins each respectively; which can be mixed into uncooked pizza for cooking. Alternatively if hard tasks of Lumbridge Tasks are completed, players can obtain several plain pizzas from Cook at Lumbridge castle daily, and it can yield minor direct profit. None Collecting Raw Salmon ***** Unlock edgeville lodestone Because lots of player powerfish at Gunnarsgrunn, meaning they drop the contents of their inventory after fishing, you can take the raw salmon they drop on the ground and bank them in edgeville's bank. It takes around 100 seconds to store 28 raw salmon, so the profit per hour is 56,448 None Drinking Wine ***** None Jugs of wine can be bought from the Grand Exchange for 51 coins. They can then be drank and resold for 245 coins or can be filled with water for additional income selling for 374 coins. None (but patience helps) Crafting and Alchemising Spider silk robe tops ***** 55 Magic 24 Crafting Corpse Spiders are encountered at Lumbridge Catacombs from which naturally drops spider silks. At this rate, crafting silks into robe tops and alchemizing them will produce 1200 coins instead of 991 coins if three silks or the robe itself were sold at the Grand Exchange.Due to alchemy,no trips will be counted as the crafted robe tops will then be converted into coins. Runes - Nature and Fire. Superheating GuideEdit About the methods involving superheating bars, here are the specific requirements: Mining coal (basic): 30+ Mining Mining mithril ore: 55+ Mining Mining adamantite ore: 70+ Mining Mining runite ore: 85+ Mining Smelting steel bars: 30+ Smithing Smelting mithril bars: 50+ Smithing Smelting adamantite bars: 70+ Smithing Smelting Runite bars: 85+ Smithing The calculations is based in starting with no ore and coal, generating 20 bars (Adamantite) or 22 bars (Mithril) per trip. Experience and coins gained by superheating per trip: Adamantite bars: 60680 coins 1060 Magic exp 7900 Mining exp 750 Smithing exp Mithril bars: 38764 coins 1166 Magic exp 6160 Mining exp 660 Smithing exp Coal bag bonus (27 extra coal) 5643 coins and 1350 Mining exp Effectiveness Requirements Details ***** Coins 10000 54,000 coins per hour Level 1 Go to the Lumbridge cow field and pick up raw beef that is often left behind by other players killing cows and cook it at the Lumbridge Castle range. ***** Coins 10000 130,000 coins per hour Level 1 Make chocolate dust from a chocolate bar. Use the knife on the chocolate bar and it makes chocolate dust. Using this method, you make Coins 25 58 coins profit per chocolate bar. This is a great money making method, and it only takes four game ticks (2.4 seconds) to make 1 chocolate dust. ***** Coins 1000 9,000 coins per hour Level 15 Buy raw trout from GE and cook it on the nearby tree. Early on profit will be lower but once level 50 is reached pretty much no trout should be burnt. Trout is bought for roughly 29 gp and sold for 32 gp. This is currently the only raw fish that sells for less than the cooked version. If you are efficient 900 can be cooked an hour, and a quick amount of exp is gained. ***** Coins 10000 -229,000 coins per hour Level 30 To make a apple pie you need: pastry dough, a cooking apple and a pie dish. After making a few, go to the Grand Exchange and sell the apple pies. ***** Coins 10000 -15,000 coins per hour Level 58 Buy raw salmon from the Grand Exchange and cook it over a fire made from a tree nearby. 10 seconds is required to chop the tree and burn the log acquired. 1 minute and 20 seconds is required to cook an inventory of salmon. 10 seconds is required to go to the bank, deposit the salmon, withdraw an inventory of raw salmon and return to the tree. With this, 1008 salmon can be cooked and 90,720 cooking experience can be gained in an hour. ***** Coins 10000 120,000 coins per hour level 1 To make a pie shell you need pie dish and a pastry dough. Both can be bought from the Grand Exchange for a combined amount of 438 gp, while pie shells sell for about 671 gp. You can make up to approximately 57k per hour if you make the dough your self but buy the pie dishes on the GE. Or, if you are level 32 in cooking, you can use the pie dishes from the guild for free and make up to 80k per hour. There is no experience to be gained though. NOTE: Due to the buying limit of 100 pie dishes on the Grand Exchange, this method is no longer a time-efficient way to make money. This page contains a list of ways to make money using the Crafting skill. After the Bot Nuke, it is found clay and soft clay have skyrocketed in price and is becoming a new trend for effective money making in F2P crafting, while gold item prices stay fairly stable. Effectiveness Requirements Details ***** Coins 10000 200,000 coins per hour 1 Players can make soft clay out of clay at the Grand Exchange. This only gives 1 experience point per soft clay made but it does make a small amount of profit for low levels. If players mine the clay as well, it is best done in Rimmington or Draynor Village; banking is convenient for Rimmington with its bank deposit box, as is the case with Draynor Village due to its proximity to a bank. For wetting banked clay, Falador, Varrock and Edgeville are other good locations. Soft clay sells for Coins 250 332 coins while clay is bought for Coins 100 234 coins. ***** Coins 10000 61,000 coins per hour 5 Same as above, but by making gold rings instead. ***** Coins 1 0 coins per hour 6 Gold necklaces can be made from gold bars which gives a small amount of profit and Crafting experience. They can be sold to Grum's Gold Exchange or the Grand Exchange. Grum's Gold Exchange buys necklaces with better price than rings and amulets. It is efficient since current gold bar price stays below gold jewellery prices. ***** Coins 10000 81,000 coins per hour 8 Buying gold bars from the Grand Exchange and making them into gold necklaces at Al Kharid will yield about 34,500 experience per hour, and a fair profit when sold unstrung to the grand exchange. ***** Coins 10000 -40,000 coins per hour 27 Buying hard leather from the Grand Exchange and making them into hard leather boots will yield about 60,000 experience per hour, and a fair profit when sold to the grand exchange. An even bigger profit can be made high alching them. This could yield up to 100k per hour. NotesEdit Never cut gems to attempt to make money. Uncut gems are more expensive than cut gems. By cutting an uncut sapphire, for example, a player will lose 1030 gp. at current GE prices cutting opal does make a small amount of money. The following table should help to decide which gold item is currently the most profitable, it is desirable to pick the item that is currently rising in price for quick cash turnaround: The following method no longer works. Shop will buy for less than stated, the table will be kept for historical purpose. Grand Exchange Prices -- Gold Sapphire Emerald Ruby Diamond Uncut -- 1,397 2,410 3,696 7,663 Cut -- 367 716 1,294 2,637 Amulet (Strung) 139 381 605 1,031 1,953 Necklace 179 530 1,058 1,500 2,451 Ring 162 397 632 1,044 2,350 Grum's Gold Exchange Prices -- Gold Sapphire Emerald Ruby Diamond Amulet and Ring 210 540 765 1215 2115 Necklace 135 630 855 1305 2205 Gold Ore - 391 coins; Gold Bar - 109 coins Effectiveness Requirements Details ***** Coins 10000 190,000 coins per hour 15 Mining iron ore or coal, banking at the deposit box in the Dwarven Mine resource dungeon Note: Due to fierce competition, this profit rate is ideal but not possible. ***** Coins 10000 130,000 coins per hour 20 Picking up limpwurt roots in the Edgeville Dungeon resource dungeon. Low levels beware level 64 Hill Giants. ***** Coins 10000 300,000 coins per hour 45 Mining runite, adamantite ore, and mithril in the Mining Guild resource dungeon. Note: Due to fierce competition, this profit rate is ideal but not possible. Effectiveness Requirements Details ***** Coins 10000 64,000 coins per hour 1 Players who train Firemaking near banks or at the Grand Exchange will often leave the ashes behind. Gather the ashes of other players' fires, or just pick up your own ashes after you burn logs. This may not sound profitable but members use the ashes to make Serum 207. Ashes sell for 336 coins each, but this will not give you a profit if you buy the logs you burn (except if using normal, oak, willow, maple or Teak logs). ***** Coins 10000 140,000 coins per hour 30 Willow logs can be purchased at the Grand Exchange for 20 coins (or chopped with 30 woodcutting), and used with a tinderbox to start a fire which eventually turns into ashes, which sell for 336 coins. Downsides: you have to wait for the fires to burn out, other players using the tip above will often steal your ashes, but at current prices, you could lose 19 ashes for every 20 fires before you start losing money. Burn a row of 4 to 7 then start a new row next to it and continue till ashes start to appear. Then stop all burning and pick up all the ashes. The square/rectangle pattern makes it easier to get to the ashes. Also another thing is too sell your logs that you cut it also gives a smaller amount of profit but takes more time. Alternatively burn a line of logs roughly from booth to booth, once you light the last log cut down the trees leading to the start of your line and either bank or sell them. This provides a little extra profit and at least 250 woodcutting xp per round. Fishing is a popular and efficient way to make money. Since fish can be cooked, cooking fish is also mentioned in this guide. However, raw fish tends to fetch higher prices than cooked fish, due to the high demand of players who want to train Cooking. Therefore, it is recommended to leave all captured fish raw if maximum profit is desired. However, fishing can take some time to get a full inventory, so patience is required. Effectiveness Requirements Details ***** Coins 10000 31,000 coins per hour to ***** Coins 10000 40,000 coins per hour Level 1 Fishing, crayfish cage Fish raw crayfish from fishing spots along the River Lum behind the Lumbridge church. The bank in the Lumbridge Castle is not too far, and several inventories may be fished per hour, depending on fishing levels. The bank in Al Kharid is also a good place to bank the crayfish. ***** Coins 10000 140,000 coins per hour to ***** Coins 10000 52,000 coins per hour Level 40 Fishing lobster pot Fish raw lobsters at Musa Point on the northeastern edge of Karamja. You may note the fish by running to the southern edge of Musa Point and speaking with Stiles. With a decent Fishing level and a reasonable attention paid, around 300 lobsters can be caught per hour. ***** Coins 10000 70,000 coins per hour to ***** Coins 10000 120,000 coins per hour Level 50 Fishing, harpoon Fish raw swordfish at Musa Point on the northeastern edge of Karamja. Raw tuna will also be caught while fishing for swords, and players may choose to drop them or keep them in their inventories. The fish may also be noted by running to the southern edge of Musa Point and speaking with Stiles. Though swordfish are worth more than lobsters. It's less profitable because less people buy swordfish and it is also harder and more time consuming to fish than lobsters. Effectiveness Magic level requirement Details Risk factors Other requirements ***** 320,000 Level 33 The Captured Temple by the Goblin Village has Wine of Zamorak which can be easily acquired by using the Telekinetic Grab spell. The nearest bank is in Taverley. Wine of Zamorak sells at the Grand Exchange for 4,069 coins each. Using Home Teleport, you can quickly teleport to Taverley, and bank the wine. With this you can effectively make up to 300k/hr. If you pick up the wine barehanded the all of the Monk of Zamorak will all become aggressive and attack you. Also, the wine sells easily because it is used in ranged potions that members can make in the Herblore Skill. When taking the wine without the Telekinetic Grab, the message will appear : GAHH! STOP STEALING MY WINE! And all of your combat stats will be reduced. There is often competition for the wine from other players doing the same thing If you accidentally try to take it, not using Telekinetic Grab, all of the monks will attack you. Air staff (or air runes) and law runes. You can also bring water runes to teleport to Falador easily. Do not try to compete with other players for the wine because the wine goes to the first spell caster and the runes used to cast the spell will still be lost. Players with a high dungeoneering level may take a law staff and/or a tome of frost along with air runes. ***** 5,000 Level 33 If you follow the West Wilderness border up past the Bandit camp, and as far as the Lava Mazen you see, there will be a small island surrounded by lava. On this island there are two nature rune respawns. The first respawn, on the west side of the island, spawns 4 nature runes. The East spawn has 3 Nature runes. If you just tele-grab the 4 natures, you will make a profit of 261 coins per cast. The nature runes respawn every 100 seconds, allowing for a maximum of 252 nature runes collected per hour, or around 560 through world hopping. Note: After a hidden update, the nature runes no longer spawn in stacks of 3 and 4, only 1 at a time. This method is no longer feasible in terms of profiting, as the cost of the law rune spent far exceeds that of the nature rune acquired. Minor risk: Lesser Demons might attack you if you get too close, but there are safe spots. Major risk: Player killers Air staff (or air runes) and law runes ***** -10k/hour Level 49 Buy strung ruby amulets on the GE and enchant them with Enchant Ruby. Sell the resulting Amulets of Strength on the GE. Important note: Due to the current prices of ruby amulets and strength amulets, you lose money every time you do this. This isn't even taking into account the added cost of cosmic runes per enchant. Changes in buying price of items or runes Fire staff (or fire runes) and cosmic runes ***** - ***** Level 55 Some items give a profit when turned to coins with high level alchemy compared to purchase in the Grand Exchange. With a profit of 100 GP per item, it is possible to earn 120k an hour. With a profit of 300 GP per item, it is possible to earn 360k an hour. Changes in buying price of items or runes Fire staff (or fire runes) and nature runes Notice that all money-making ways in this table are available for both non-members and members. Mining is a fast money making method used among lower level players. More experienced players will find that mining can be slow but still extremely profitable at high levels. It is also useful to have some kind of device for quick access to banks. As your mining level increases you will mine ores more quickly and as a result earn more money per hour. Some players work in pairs where one player will mine the ore and the other will bank it and run back to collect more. Sometimes players will hire someone to bank their ores for them and occasionally full-scale mining operations are created. Effectiveness Requirements Details ***** Coins 10000 51,000 coins per hour Level 1 Mining. Rune Mysteries completed. Mining Rune Essence Rune essence can be mined at the Rune Essence Mine once Rune Mysteries has been completed and sells for 51 coins each. If using the preferred and fastest method, along with optimal gear, up to 1008 rune essence can be mined per hour, which equates to 51408 coins and 5040 xp per hour. Rune essence should not be confused with pure essence which can only be mined in members worlds, while rune essence is mined only in free to play worlds. Essences mine quickly; it takes approximately 55 seconds to fill an inventory, and if using Aubury and banking in Varrock, a further 50 seconds to bank the mined essence and return to the mine for another load. While Varrock is the fastest method to mine essence, Sedridor who is located on the second floor of the Wizards' Tower, can also teleport the player to the Rune Essence Mine. This location is only recomended with a Runecrafting level of 50+ so the deposit box in the runecrafting guild can be used. Although players who have the explorer's ring 3 may use it to teleport to the cabbage patch south of Falador and use a wicked hood to teleport back to Sedridor. To decrease the time per run, it is recommended to use the best pickaxe that can be both wield and used and wear nothing else (with the exception of the explorer's ring which can be used to run-replenish a certain amount of times). It is also recommended to rest when the player's energy level is near depleted. ***** Coins 10000 200,000 coins per hour Level 1 Mining. Level 15 Dungeoneering to enter the Dwarven Mine resource dungeon (optional). Level 40 Crafting and a brown apron to enter the Crafting Guild (optional). Mining Clay Clay can be mined at any mining level and sells for 234 coins each. If using the preferred and fastest method, along with optimal gear, up to 840 clay can be mined per hour, which equates to 196560 coins and 3890 xp per hour. Clay may also be used with any container of water (such as a bucket of water, or directly from a water source to turn the clay into soft clay, which sells for the higher price of 332 coins and hence further increases profits. Clay rocks are located at a number of mines. The most commonly used free to play mine for clay is the South-West Varrock Mine, though clay is also found in the Draynor Mine, the Dwarven Mine, Rimmington Mine, Barbarian Village and the Crafting Guild. Clay is always in high demand - massive amount of players (F2P and P2P alike) need it for various skills. This means clay & soft clay can always be sold easily and may be sold at a higher price than standard. The clan vexillum and ring of kinship teleports can be used to shorten the bank trips if you're mining at the Crafting Guild. If mining in the Dwarven Mines, the deposit box inside the resource dungeon can be used if the player has at least level 15 Dungeoneering. Risks: Level 20 scorpions and level 56 king scorpions if you enter the Dwarven Mine from a Falador entrance. If a player with a higher Mining level is also mining the clay, you may not be able to get any. ***** Coins 10000 140,000 coins per hour Level 15 Mining. Level 15 Dungeoneering to enter the Dwarven Mine resource dungeon (optional). Mining Iron Iron ore sells for 370 coins, and is very quick to mine. The West Varrock Mine is decent due to its proximity to a bank, but the East Varrock Mine and the Dwarven Mines are also popular. At 15 Dungeoneering, the Dwarven Mines surpass all other F2P mining locations due to the addition of a deposit box in the Resource Dungeon. This allows for extremely fast banking. It should be noted that iron is the best moneymaking ore, as well as the best training ore, until higher levels. As of now iron ore mining is the fastest money making way for f2p with the drop of price of yews and lack of bots making around 75k per hour. Risks: If a player with a higher Mining level is also mining the iron ore, you may not be able to get any, Level 6 mugger in the mine south-west of Varrock and king scorpions if you enter the Dwarven Mine from the Falador entrance or mine the iron in the southern end of the mine. ***** Coins 10000 12,000 coins per hour Level 20 Mining. Level 40 Crafting to enter the Crafting Guild (optional). Mining Silver Silver ore sells for 109 coins each, and is found in accessible locations. The best is the West Varrock Mine due to its proximity to a bank, but the Al Kharid mine is also available. Unfortunately, silver ore rocks only respawn every 2 minutes, which means a lot of time standing around waiting for the ore to become available for mining, which greatly reduces the profit per hour. A way to keep your profit per hour at a steady pace is to mine another type of ore (iron would be best) while waiting on the silver ore to respawn. Silver ore may also be mined from the Crafting Guild and there are twice as many rocks as anywhere else. Risks: If a player with a higher Mining level is also mining the silver ore, you may not be able to get any, Level 14 scorpions in the Al Kharid mine and Level 6 mugger in the West Varrock Mine. ***** Coins 10000 61,000 coins per hour Level 30 Mining. Level 15 Dungeoneering (optional). Explorer's ring 3 (optional). Mining Coal At this level you can mine coal and sell it for 209 coins each. However, mining coal is a slow process until much higher Mining levels are reached (50+). The most profitable place to mine coal is the Dwarven Mine resource dungeon (Need 15 Dungeoneering) and using the deposit box there. There are 13 coal rocks there and usually 3-5 other people in that mine. Mining at the Lumbridge Swamp south-west mine without an explorer's ring 3 generates 29,000 coins/hour; mining in the Gunnarsgrunn and banking at Edgeville generates 27,000 coins/hour. Risks: If a player with a higher Mining level is also mining the coal, you may not be able to get any. ***** Coins 10000 36,000 coins per hour Level 40 Mining. Reached Crandor Island on the Dragon Slayer quest. 30 gold (for the boat). Mining Gold (Karamja/Crandor) Although Crandor island and the Karamja volcano would seem to be poor locations due to their distance from a bank, the slow respawn rate of gold means that mining in these locations is relatively profitable since there are more rocks (4 in each location). The recommended method is: Use the mine inside the Karamja volcano When you have a full load use the cabbage teleport feature of the explorer's ring 3 to get from the mine to the deposit box near the Monks of Entrana or the home teleport spell to bank in Draynor Use the Varrock Teleport spell when done to get from the mine to the Grand Exchange Risks: If a player with a higher Mining level is also mining the gold, you may not be able to get any and Level 14 Scorpions and Level 22 Skeletons. ***** Coins 10000 61,000 coins per hour Level 40 Mining. Level 40 Crafting and a Brown apron to enter the Crafting Guild. Mining Gold (Crafting Guild) There are 7 gold rocks at the crafting guild, meaning the mining goes quicker, but its distance from a bank means the final profit is reduced. Risks: If a player with a higher Mining level is also mining the gold ore, you may not be able to get any. ***** Coins 1 0 coins per hour Level 55 Mining. Level 60 Mining to enter the Mining Guild (optional). Level 15 Dungeoneering to enter the Dwarven Mine resource dungeon (optional). Mining Mithril Mithril ore sells for 609 coins each, but supply is very limited for non-members. The Mining Guild contains 5 mithril rocks (but requires 60 Mining), and mining from mithril rocks in the Wilderness or Lumbridge Swamp is also possible. There are 3 mithril rocks at the Al Kharid mining area, and there is also mithril on Crandor, although the distance and the presence of aggressive monsters does not make it a convenient place to mine. The current best place to mine mithril for Free players is the resource dungeon in the Dwarven Mines, however competition is an issue in the location. Another option is to use the hidden mine - the resource dungeon in the mining guild. Risks: If a player with a higher Mining level is also mining the mithril ore, you may not be able to get any. ***** Coins 1 0 coins per hour Level 60 Mining. Mining Coal (Mining Guild) Once you can enter the Mining Guild, coal mining speeds up noticeably as there are many coal rocks inside the guild, and the guild is very close to the eastern bank in Falador. Risks: If a player with a higher Mining level is also mining the coal, you may not be able to get any. ***** Coins 10000 160,000 coins per hour Level 70 Mining. Level 15 Dungeoneering to enter the Hidden resource dungeon (optional). Mining Adamantite Adamantite ore sells for 2115 each and can be found in the Hobgoblin Mine (level 45-50 Wilderness), the west Lumbridge Swamp mine, Al Kharid, Crandor, Dwarven Mine and the Edgeville Dungeon. Do not pass through the Bandit Camp on your way to or from the mine. Mining adamantite ore by hopping worlds can earn you up to 162855 coins per hour. Risks: If a player with a higher Mining level is also mining the adamantite ore, you may not be able to get any. ***** Coins 1 0 coins per hour Level 85 Mining. Level 45 Dungeoneering to enter the Hidden resource dungeon (optional). Mining Runite Runite ore is the most expensive ore in the game, at 10431 coins each. It is found in two locations; the two rocks in level 61 Wilderness and the runite rocks in the mining guild resource dungeon (45 Dungeoneering required). The amount of time it takes runite to respawn is dependent on world population; it will spawn quicker on more-populated worlds (12.5–25 minutes). Most players who mine runite tend to switch worlds rather than wait for the ore to respawn. It is recommended not to hop to busy servers, as the rocks may be mined already. Also, turning private chat off is effective, so that friends won't be bothered by the spamming messages of the world switches. Also, it is highly recommended NOT to start mining runite at level 85 because of the number of players at that level trying the same tactic as you (level 89-90+ is recommended). It usually takes around 40 seconds to respawn so you could save 15 seconds by world hopping. Unfortunately you do not gain any Prayer experience by doing this unless you find bones from monks or kill monks for their bones and bury them while waiting for the robes to respawn. The bank closest to this monastery is to the east, the Edgeville bank, although you can use the Edgeville Lodestone to get there faster. Effectiveness Requirements Details ***** Coins 10000 49,000 coins per hour 1 Either through the skill or through rune running, you can make air runes. Air runes are best made with rune essence (worth 51 coins each) as opposed to pure essence (worth 51 coins each). If running airs, it can be easy to find a high level Runecrafter who can assist you in crafting multiple runes. If you find a player who can craft six (6) or more air runes per essence, this can make you a profit of approximately 3,276 coins per trip. As you reach higher levels, you will be able to craft more runes per essence (if you craft them yourself), which further increases profit. See the Air Running Guide for more information on this topic. ***** Coins 10000 250,000 coins per hour 50 With your tokens from The Great Orb Project, you can purchase high value talismans or essence and sell them on the Grand Exchange. For example, you could buy water talismans and sell them on the Grand Exchange for 7,850 coins each. Since a talisman costs 50 tokens, a fully played 50/50 game can give enough tokens for eight talismans (a total of 62,800 coins). Overall, Smithing is not the best way to make money in the short term, but good if a player sticks with it long enough. In addition, for players buying bars (because Smithing experience is earned faster at the anvil rather than at the furnace), bars of all types are also tertiary ingredients for Summoning, which has increased the demand for most types of bars, causing prices to inflate. When smelting, a coal bag is recommended as it holds an extra of 27 coal. However for this method a Dungeoneering level of 35 is needed as well as a Mining level of 35. However at least level 40-42 Dungeoneering is needed to obtain the 4000 tokens that will be needed to buy it from the Rewards trader. There is also a demand for steel bars due to their use in Construction and smelting cannonballs. Due to the relatively low prices for smithable weapons and armour, smithing items isn't recommended to make money, with few exceptions. Name Effectiveness Smithing level requirement Details Risk factors Other requirements Smelting and smithing bronze ***** Level 1 You can either mine or buy copper and tin ores to make bronze bars. This gives a profit of 1.5k per inventory plus 85 experience per round. None Low weight Smelting silver ***** Level 20 Silver ores can often be bought at a lower price than silver bars on the Grand Exchange, which results in reasonable profit and decent experience gains. Profit can be maximised if the ore is purchased closer to the minimum GE price and then later sold as bars at market or maximum GE price. Currently, purchasing ores at minimum GE price and selling bars at maximum GE price will yield Coins 25 43 coins difference per silver. Note this is a fairly efficient method to train the Smithing skill due to the fact that one can make 28 silver bars per trip. A full load of silver will yield 383.6 XP compared to 315 XP for smelting steel bars with a coal bag. None Low weight Smelting steel ***** Level 30 Another way involving steel bars is to simply buy large quantities of iron ore and coal (twice as much coal as iron), take them to Al Kharid, and smelt them at the nearby furnace. Using this method, it is possible to smelt around 500 bars per hour, making a profit of Coins 10000 113,500 per hour. By using Superheat Item, players can gain up to 100K Magic experience per hour, followed by around 35K Smithing experience per hour, resulting in some profit at times. If a player also has level 35 Dungeoneering and has purchased the coal bag, they may smelt up to 18 steel bars per trip. Doing so will increase the profit to up to 120k per hour but is only recommended if the player plans on smithing for a long period of time or plans on smithing with coal a lot in the future as the tokens required to buy the coal bag can take a while to acquire. Level 14 Scorpions 43 Magic if using the Superheat Item method Smelting mithril ***** 20k/Hour Level 50 Mithril bars sell for 1,901 coins each. If the materials (one mithril ore and four coal per bar) are purchased, you can earn up to 456 coins per bar using the Falador or Al Kharid furnaces. At five bars per trip, you can make about 136800 coins and 9,000 experience per hour. Superheating the ore can be done with this method too resulting in a 317 coin profit. None 43 Magic if using the Superheat Item method Smelting adamantite ***** -1k/Hour Level 70 Adamant bars sell for 3,173 coins each, and require one adamantite ore and six coal per bar. Purchasing the materials then selling the bars gives a profit of -196 coins per bar. At four bars per trip, you can make about -47040 coins and 9,000 experience per hour. Superheating the ore can be done with this method too resulting in a -335 coin profit.(This is currently a bad way of making money, or losing it) None 43 Magic if using the Superheat Item method Smelting rune ***** Level 85 Smelting rune bars from eight pieces of coal and one runite ore yields approximately 856 coins profit per rune bar smelted. However, due to the difficult nature of obtaining the ores yourself, and the high initial outlay required, combined with being unable to smelt many rune bars at once due to inventory restrictions, this method should only be used for players who already have a significant amount of cash before starting. Superheating the ore can be useful because of the low amount of bars per trip. None 43 Magic if using the Superheat Item method Woodcutting is similar to Fishing as a money-making skill in several ways. It is a popular way to make money and also requires a bit of patience to fill an entire inventory. Woodcutting is also a skill that does not require much attention, as you will automatically chop logs from trees until you are interrupted (such as by logging out, or if the tree's supply of logs is exhausted). Also logs, similarly to fish, can be sold in bulk at the Grand Exchange in a matter of seconds. You should empty your inventory, equip your hatchet and then cut down the trees. The only downfall of F2P fishing is that it takes longer and doesn't make as much money as woodcutting yews. -Non-member Maple Trees can also be cut at the Daemonheim Resource Dungeon. The portal going to this location can be found south-west of the boat that goes back to Al Kharid. The portal going to Woodcutting island requires a Dungeoneering level of 30. Effectiveness (Coins) Level Details Other requirements ***** Level 1+ Logs can be cut and sold for 238 coins each. Normal trees are found virtually everywhere around RuneScape, but do not give multiple logs per tree. The forest between Lumbridge and the Draynor Village, east of Draynor Village, the Grand Exchange, and East Varrock are all convenient places to gather normal logs. All being close to a bank, these are effective ways to gather logs. Draynor Manor can also be a great place for these type of logs; a bank is relatively close. Regular logs also come from dead trees, dying trees, and evergreen trees. The bad thing is that each tree only holds one set of logs. As you increase your woodcutting skill, the time it takes you to chop down a tree decreases, increasing your profit. The income from selling logs that you acquire from level 1 to 15 to the Grand Exchange is around 75,500 coins. A good option is to cut logs around draynor and note them in the bank, selling several at once, or you could cut logs inside the grand exchange and sell each inventory. If you offer logs at around 95gp then they will sell quicker, but will generate the same income as selling at the recommended price.; this method is actually the best money making method until level 60 if you don't want to gain xp. theoretically the extra price for yew and maple still doesn't account for the extra time taken so this could be the best non-training method. ***** 71,000 Level 15+ Oak logs are in demand for the Construction skill, and sell for 118 coins each. Oak trees can be found in many places, most notably just east of the Draynor Village bank, near the four-way intersection in Draynor Village, east and west of Varrock, near the southern Falador gate, or west of Varrock Palace, to name a few. Each oak log earns 37.5 Woodcutting XP so a total inventory would bring 1,050 XP. You will bring in around 34k coins if you cut oaks from level 15 to 30. ***** 3,700 Level 30+ Willow logs sell for 20 coins each, and can be cut south of the Draynor Village bank and around the pond south of the Lumbridge Mill and east of the sheep farm. The site near Draynor village is more profitable as it is much closer to a bank. It is difficult to sell the willow logs in the Grand Exchange, due to the high supply from power-levelling woodcutters and the low demand from the rest of the market, even though willow logs have been in high demand recently. You may be able to sell a load of logs to a player who is training Firemaking. Also another strategy is to cut willows in Rimmington as you can sell the logs for 16 coins each at the town general store. It is not recommended to use this method, as cutting oaks or normal trees is faster and more effective. ***** 50,000 (Depending on WC Level) Level 60-65+ Yew logs sell for 583 coins each and are almost always in high demand by players training Fletching, Firemaking and Magic. Take note, however, that yew logs are considerably slower to cut until one reaches a higher Woodcutting level (70-75+ woodcutting is very helpful). A few yew trees are close to banks; if one gets a load of yew logs in 15 minutes it is approximately a 50,000gp/hour profit. In free worlds, most non-crowded areas would be the yew tree in the graveyard in Lumbridge but there is only one tree there so it is not recommended unless you are the only player there. Other locations in which free players can chop yews for money are the 3 yew trees behind the Varrock Palace; players can chop the yews there and bank or sell them via the Grand Exchange. Another location consists of 4 yews close to each other and are near Rimmington. Players can use the clan vexillum to arrive near the yews (and, if they haven't completed the Combat Academy yet, teleport there for quickly depositing the logs). It is highly recommended to use a Rune hatchet as this is the best hatchet a free player is able to use, therefore maximising profitability and experience. Spending more for the most expensive hatchet results in the greatest possible profit with the least possible effort. Many RuneScape players often perform an external activity whilst woodcutting and have the cutting sound a bit higher so whenever players stop hearing the chopping sound, they can switch over and cut another yew, although some people might accuse you of botting. This guide is for members who wish to profit from combat. As a general rule, pick the strategy which requires the least consumables (food and potions). Remember that consumables cost money and time, and have to be accounted for when using combat to profit. Part of profiting through combat involves the speed at which players can kill the monsters. The following list details monsters that do not require a Slayer level to fight or kill. For making money with Slayer, see the Slayer money making guide. Effectiveness Requirements Details ***** Coins 10000 50,000 coins per hour Kill chaos druids in the Edgeville Dungeon. Chaos druids produce good money for almost all levels. Druids can drop rare herbs, along with many mid-level herbs, and are close to a bank. Level 10 Dungeoneering is required to enter the dungeons. However there are several Chaos druid spawns east of the dungeon entrance, be cautious as this is in the wilderness. If you die you will lose all of your items. Using a Macaw pouch (Level 41 Summoning) improves the herb drops so that it is possible to get 4 inventory loads of ranarr or better herbs in an hour from the druids and the spawns. ***** Coins 10000 400,000 coins per hour 53 Magic Kill cockroach soldiers in the Stronghold of Player Safety North of Gunnarsgrunn. Make the carapace into carapace torsos(worth Coins 1000 2,348 each) to save inventory space. You can also create a set of carapace legs(worth Coins 1000 1,788 each) at the end. A set of 14 carapace legs and 14 carapace torsos would yield Coins 10000 57,904 coins. Wield the earth blast spell with a mystic lava staff and use an Amulet of Glory to return to the bank. One should also use the Momentum ability. After Hero's Quest, one will no longer lose money by using Amulet of Glory teleports because one will be able to recharge the amulet in the Heroes' Guild. ***** Coins 10000 180,000 coins per hour 140+ Combat The chaos dwarves found in the Taverley Dungeon can be killed for muddy keys(worth Coins 1000 2,438 each), mithril bars(worth Coins 1000 1,901 each), and bones. For further reference, Bones x 28 = Coins 1000 6,244 Mithril bars x 28 = Coins 10000 53,228 Muddy keys x 28 = Coins 10000 68,264 Usually uncrowded in most worlds, this spot provides good experience, although food will be required. Players should be wary, as they are quite accurate even with high defence. Note that they can hit up to 66 hitpoints, and are located quite close to lesser demons. ***** Coins 10000 400,000 coins per hour 80+ Kill snails Found south of Canifis for their thin snails which are worth a very decent Coins 1000 1,033. Excellent Money making for lower levels. There is a Bank in Canifis. Kill the level 9-15 snails and beware of Ghasts. Bring your silver sickles and your druid pouch. When you are out of stacks in your druid pouch, there is an altar to the west of Canifis, near the bridge; the God Statue a short way to the south-east of the Canifis Lodestone serves the same purpose. With your prayer you will be able to use bloom to stack up your pouch. Otherwise the ghasts will hit you or spoil your food. ***** Coins 10000 200,000 coins per hour 50+ Combat Killing flesh crawlers for herbs such as ranarr, dwarf weed, lantadyme, avantoe, kwuarm, and runes. Less desirable herbs like guam and tarromin should be left on the ground as they cut into profit. As well, players are advised to bring a Ring of Wealth, as Flesh Crawlers are on the list of Rare Drop Table monsters and can thus provide a load of money, provided the player gets lucky. ***** Coins 10000 380,000 coins per hour Requires Cabin Fever quest completed The snakes located on Mos Le'Harmless have a 100% chance of dropping snake hide which is worth Coins 1000 2,259 coins each. Antipoison is highly recommended. ***** Coins 10000 100,000 coins per hour Killing Tortoises north of the Tree Gnome Stronghold's Spirit Tree in Trainer Nacklepen's Tortoise Training Ground. Tortoises can drop up to three tortoise shells, which sell for Coins 10000 13,384 coins each. They also drop some valuable grimy herbs(E.g.:Grimy ranarr. The level 76 tortoises have a max hit of 100, while the level 92 tortoise has a max hit of 120. All are inaccurate. It is also important to note that they are located directly north of a swamp which spawns swamp toads. These toads heal quite a bit, so bringing food is not necessary. ***** Coins 10000 150,000 coins per hour to ***** Coins 10000 400,000 coins per hour 80+ combat Killing green dragons is a very common and effective way to make money. These dragons always drop green dragonhides and dragon bones, which sell for Coins 1000 2,525 coins and Coins 1000 4,045 coins each respectively. This makes each green dragon worth at least Coins 1000 6,570 coins. Green dragons are found mainly in the Wilderness, so beware of player killers when hunting them. A few can also be found in the Chaos Tunnels, although this area contains some monsters that are aggressive, so proceed with caution. With a familiar and a quick banking method, you can easily make a decent amount of money in an hour. Potions and prayers/curses can be used to speed up kills. See Green dragon/Strategies for more information. ***** Coins 10000 600,000 coins per hour Rewards from the Barrows activity include valuable runes, bolt racks and Barrows equipment. Pieces of Barrows equipment can sell for anywhere between Coins 10000 123,858 coins to Coins 10000 9,960,957 coins a piece. The Nature Spirit quest is helpful, as it grants access to a shortcut to Barrows. Completion of In Aid of the Myreque is helpful as it opens a bank in Burgh de Rott, which shortens time between trips. Also, The Branches of Darkmeyer will give an item that will allow quick teleport to the Barrows, as well as banks in Burgh de Rott and Darkmeyer. Completing the Hard task set of Morytania doubles the amount of runes received, allowing near-maxed players to pull over one million coins per hour before factoring any barrows items received. ***** Coins 10000 250,000 coins per hour Blue dragons can be killed in much the same manner as green dragons. They always drop blue dragonhide (worth Coins 1000 3,201 coins) and dragon bones (worth Coins 1000 4,045 coins). Ranged and melee are the most efficient ways to kill them quickly. The Ogre Enclave (requires Watchtower quest) and Taverley Dungeon (70+ Agility recommended for shortcut) are two of the most popular places to kill blue dragons. ***** Coins 10000 150,000 coins per hour Killing Ankous are one of the most popular ways for collecting what they drop a lot. They drop blood runes (worth Coins 250 267 coins each) and death runes (worth Coins 100 127 coins each) more frequently than any other monster in-game, and are extremely weak for their level. They drop a large variety of noted items, and also can drop items from the rare drop table. However, they drop coins for the majority of the time. ***** Coins 10000 650,000 coins per hour Killing Black Unicorn in the level 18 wilderness is a good way of collecting unicorn horns as there are 15-16 of them.Unicorn horns are currently selling for Coins 1000 3,462 each.Players are advised to bring items only which they are willing to lose since they are located in the wilderness. ***** Coins 10000 300,000 coins per hour 125+ Killing Fire Giant in the Chaos Tunnels Are fairly easy to kill, with a Ring of wealth you can easily get rune equipment, charms, and access to the rare loot table. A stack of 12 Rune arrow drops frequently along with Fire rune, Nature rune, and Law rune. All tier of gems drop quite often, and 15gp-12k drop. Another common drop is the Fire battlestaff. All of this combined will net you a decent profit, along with some nice combat experience, and some great slayer experience if you're tasked here. ***** Coins 10000 500,000 coins per hour At a combat level of 160 and higher, soloing the Giant Mole should be fairly easy. Go to a non-Lootshare world and kill it alone. It is easy to make a few hundred thousand coins in 3-4 kills, and the Mole is a good source of Blue Charms as well, dropping 2 per kill with a rate of around 2 blue charms every 10 kills. You can either sell the hides and claws dropped by the Giant Mole or trade them in for nests that yield seeds, and can then be crushed with a pestle and mortar and sold. At a combat level of 190 or higher with extreme potions, turmoil, and a combat/BoB familiar or a very high ranged level, a cannon, and a combat/BoB familiar you'll be earning at least 500k an hour (possibly more if seeds from nests and other notable drops are taken into account). If you're looking for a cheaper way and aren't as high of a combat level, just buy some monkfish and some energy potions, and go down there and use one every time a stat starts to get low.Kills are very long so prepare to spend a while here. Please view the Giant Mole page for strategies. ***** Coins 10000 400,000 coins per hour Kill Waterfiends in the Ancient cavern. They often drop noted water orbs, water battlestaves, and rune helms. While they don't have exceptionally valuable drops, most drops are stackable and add up to a large value quickly. Armour with high magic defence and prayer potions strongly advised. ***** Coins 10000 500,000 coins per hour Ranged 60+, Recommended 80+ Killing mature grotworms in the Grotworm Lair is another way to make money. However, their drops are very random. Some people report making 400k an hour, while others report 600k+ an hour, although the drops have been significantly worsened to a point where it is difficult to make 500k+ an hour. Their valuable drops, such as runite ore are, however, a steady source of income. They sell for high prices on the G.E or street price (more than their G.E price.) Depending on your combat stats, equipment, and the luck of drops, players can accumulate coins quickly and efficiently at a reasonable rate. Their combat level is 120, and a level of 100+ with some prayer, melee (recommended using ranged, especially bolts), and food can easily make a decent amount of coins. Always wear a Ring of Wealth here, as they have access to the rare drop table. They are weak to ranged, bolts in specific, so bring good ranged equipment. You should at least have level 60 ranged, however it is recommended to have level 80. Your main drops are Rune items, runite ore, and Blood runes, making this a respectable way to make gold. The downside to this method is the extensive botting in the dungeon. Don't forget to bring nature runes and a staff with an unlimited supply of fire runes or fire runes to high alch the rune equipment as this reduces the need to bank. At higher levels, with turmoil and extremes, it's possible to make over 800k per hour. Note: The 8/7/2012 update stopped the drop of certain higher value rune items like the rune chainbody. The 6/17/2013 update improved the overall power of the grotworm immensely, decreasing the money made per hour. ***** Coins 10000 400,000 coins per hour Summer's End quest Killing the Tormented wraith may be a good way of profit. It can drop the Spirit shield and Holy elixir (albeit a rarer rate than the Corporeal Beast), and is quite easy to kill. It also drops noted iron ore and oak planks, which can be sold to other players at a decent price. It also drops Black equipment, which is quite rare to find outside apart from specific monsters (Black demons, Giant rock crabs). With high combat stats and the best BoB you can bring, profit per hour can increase by 200000 coins. Remember you must bring Jennica's Ring and complete Summer's End. ***** Coins 10000 500,000 coins per hour In Aid of the Myreque quest, or (optional) Darkness of Hallowvale quest Going on the Burgh de Rott and Temple Trekking minigames can be very profitable. As red tickets provide very high level herbs (from Grimy candantines to Grimy torstols), which, if a player is lucky in one of the trips, may provide over 400k. Players may also make profit by killing the Nail beasts, which provide an ingredient for a Sanfew serum, Fiyr shades for their remains, which are currently worth 5,011. Snails may also provide Crafting XP and coins if their shells are taken to Barlak. ***** Coins 10000 800,000 coins per hour Troll Stronghold, 60 Strength/Agility Killing Aviansies can provide a decent amount of coins. Their commonly noted drop of four adamant bars provides 3,173 (x4). They also drop a decent amount of alchable equipment, such as Runite limbs, and Rune daggers. To improve profits, a high ranged level is recommended. ***** Coins 10000 600,000 coins per hour Killing Revenants in the Forinthry Dungeon is another excellent way to create money. Their valuable drops, such as the Vesta's longsword, Ancient statuette, and Statius's warhammer are worth millions of coins. They sell for extremely high prices on the G.E or street price (more than their G.E price.) Depending on your combat stats, equipment and the luck of drops, players can accumulate millions of coins quickly and efficiently at a reasonable rate. Be wary of PKers, however, who frequently visit the area. For more information on this approach see the Pay-to-play Revenant hunting guide. ***** Coins 10000 250,000 coins per hour Recommended 150+ Combat level and 70+ Agility, so you can use shortcut in Taverley dungeon Kill Black dragons in Taverley dungeon. They drop always Black dragon hide and Dragon bones. One kill is worth about 8k. Take 2 Antifire(4) with you, and some Prayer potions for Protect from Magic, and take some food, for example Sharks. Beast of burden like Pack Yak, or Spirit Terrorbird helps you to get maximized loot. It is recommended to kill dragons as long as you have enough food. You can bury the bones, which are much cheaper than dragon hides, so your inventory can be filled with more dragon hides. Although Black dragons' weakness is arrows, you will need much more Ranged level than Melee skills. Don't take Anti-dragon shield but take Antifires + Protect from Magic prayer, so you can use much higher damaging weapons like godswords. ***** Coins 10000 600,000 coins per hour A combat level of 150 or higher. Access to the fairy rings is strongly recommended. Brutal Green Dragons always drop 2 Green d'hide and 1 Dragon Bone, making them worth around 7k per kill. Using turmoil, a war tortoise, dual chaotics, super antifire, 99 attack and 99 strength, 1m/hr is achievable. The 1m/hr is no longer possible due to over competition. ***** Coins 10000 500,000 coins per hour While Guthix Sleeps quest Killing Tormented Demons is very profitable. They drop Dragon claws and Off-hand dragon claws (both claws are part of the same drop) which are worth Coins 10000 124,557 and Coins 10000 219,905 coins each, respectively, and also drop Ruined dragon armour slices, lumps and shards, all worth at least Coins 10000 1,295,268 coins each. They also have a chance of dropping Dragon limbs, worth Coins 10000 20,966,516 coins. ***** Coins 10000 75,000 coins per hour Priest in Peril quest, 80+ Combat Level, 15 Slayer Level It is fairly profitable to kill Banshees for their drops. Banshees can be found in the Slayer Tower just northwest of Canifis. They should be in the room just to the right of you as soon as you walk in to the Slayer Tower. Their best drops consist of herbs. Collecting all of the dropped herbs will provide at least Coins 10000 62,000 per hour, and Coins 10000 89,000 at most. Remember to bring food for safety. ***** Coins 10000 200,000 coins per hour started Zogre Flesh Eaters quest, 100+ Combat level A great source of money can be made from Zogres and ogre coffins. Zogres and Skogres can be found in Jiggig, east of Gu'Tanoth. In order to access the interior of Jiggig, you must have at least started Zogre Flesh Eaters. Zogres and Skogres both always drop Ogre coffin keys which the player should keep, if they want to make good profit. The player should take keys down into the dungeon under Jiggig. The entrance to the dungeon is found in the eastern part of Jiggig. Once the player enters the dungeon, they move northwest until they find the northwesternmost room of the cave. It should have 3 Zogres roaming around inside. The player may also kill Zogres and Skogres inside the dungeon rather than out in Jiggig as well. The player would use their keys to open any one of the undamaged coffins along the wall or on the tables. The coffins can yield these possible items: Fayrg bones - worth Coins 1000 8,434 Raurg bones - worth Coins 10000 35,961 Ourg bones - worth Coins 10000 19,338 This is a great moneymaking technique for fighters. ***** Coins 10000 600,000 coins per hour 190+, dual-wielding recommended, full completing of The World Wakes Kill Automatons. There are three types of Automatons: Automaton Tracers, who use Ranged attacks and are weak to crush, Automaton Guardians, who use melee and are weak to Fire spells, and Automaton Generators, who use magic and are weak to arrows. Each one has their own unique gloves drop; Pneumatic gloves, Static gloves and Tracking gloves respectively. They are worth 18,252,102, 16,273,238 and 19,530,157 respectively. All of their drops, excluding effigies, clue scrolls and some RDT drops are noted/stackable, so one can stay for long periods of time without having to go to the bank to deposit their items. ***** Coins 10000 700,000 coins per hour 140 combat, high Magic recommended Kill Exiled kalphite guardians and collect Damaged chitin. With level 70 Smithing, Damaged Chitin can be made into Chitin scraps and sold on the Grand Exchange. Exiled Kaphites also have an excellent Blue and Crimson Charm drop rate, and drop various high leveled herbs and Rune items. With 85+ Magic, Defence, 68+ Summoning, and 70+ Smithing, a player can reasonably expect to pull in over a million coins per hour, depending on current Grand Exchange prices. ***** Coins 10000 1,000,000 coins per hour 150-160 combat, high Ranged recommended Partial completion of the Freeing Sir Amik Varze subquest required Kill Black Dragons at the Evil Chicken's Lair at Zanaris. Using this route is much faster than Taverly Dungeon, even with the shortcut, as well as being much closer to a bank and there being more Black Dragons to kill. With a Royal Crossbow, using Super Antifire potions, and a Pak Yack familiar as well, a focused player can can pull as much as Coins 10000 1,500,000 in a single hour. ***** Coins 10000 2,000,000 coins per hour 170-180 combat, high Ranged, 81 Slayer, 90 Agility recommended Kill Gladius at the Monastery of Ascension (a fast way to get there is by teleporting to the Oo'glog lodestone), be wary of Capsarius in the dungeon, as they heal creatures you're attacking, it's recommended to do this in the room North-east of Laboratory Primus, as there are many tables to safe-spot on(by doing this, the Gladi won't be able to use their stun on you). These creatures drop the ascension keys, which sell for around Coins 10000 500,000 each, a 99 ranged player with royal crossbow or higher camping the 90 agility room(no copsarius near the gladi) can easily make Coins 10000 3,000,000 per hour.
