The CFTC (Chicago Futures Trading Commission) commissioner, Bart Chilton, has said that the United States is at risk of being left behind in blockchain technological advancement unless there is more proactive support from Government institutions. He said Obama should "Heed the Call" and went on to say: 

"Without some proactive step, such as a self-regulatory organization and word from on high by the president, the U.S. could lose out on what are potentially enormous economic benefits."
