French weathergirl delivers forecast naked as forfeit as France qualify for World Cup.

 A weather presenter in France has delivered the forecast naked after having promised 
viewers that if France qualified for the World Cup she would strip off.

Doria Tillier, 27, a former model, made the pledge on Canal + television before Tuesday 
night’s match against Ukraine.

“I promise you that if we qualify tonight for the World Cup, I vow – here, in front of 
the whole of France – that I will tomorrow do my forecast naked,” she said.

And Miss Tillier remained true to her word – much to the delight of the 151,000 people who 
had signed up to the Facebook group titled “For Doria Tillier to keep her word.”

“Surprise us and keep your word for France,” the group urged. “We are counting on you.” 

France eventually won 3-0, 3-2 on aggregate, sending them to Brazil next summer.

The millions of French who tuned in to watch Miss Tillier honour her forfeit may
 have been somewhat disappointed. Rather than take her clothes off close up, she 
stripped off in a field and ran across the grass whooping and jumping – with the 
camera situated on top of a hill, a safe distance away. The weather was shown on a 
split-screen.

She also chose her location with care, filming in the village of Poil, near Dijon – 
“à poil” is the French for naked.

Antoine de Caunes, presenter of Le Grand Journal – the show which features Miss Tillier’s 
forecast – had to present the show in English as his forfeit for France’s victory.

“Some of you will see us as patriots, some of you will see us as idiots,” said Mr de Caunes.
 “Frankly I don’t ------- care. France have qualified.”
