Total in my cart is $1431.40. That is too much money. Is what I'm asking even possible? I definitely don't want to cheap on PSU (heard that's a really bad idea), GPU (I want games to look really good), processor (I multitask and want a fast computer). I was going mostly by reviews when I was choosing items. I also did some research here, on reddit/build a computer, and TomsHardware. I guess I still need an operating system. I was thinking about running 2, Windows 7 for games and Ubuntu to mess around on and see if I can learn it without smashing my computer. I obviously don't know a lot about computers. I first got into and wanted to build a computer when a lot of my friends built their own and I went to their LAN parties and gamed Unreal Tournament all night. I learned about them then and took a C++ class and a Java class in high school but I remember next to nothing from those days (as you can probably tell). I want to be part of the new gaming scene, and involved in computer and internet culture (not just content but the actual mechanics and technological aspects). I have recently become enamored with technological culture and want to be a part of it. I think it is important in this day and age, and I think it will become ever-increasingly so. I have a little bit of cash right now (but not quite enough to buy that cart outright) but I am also thinking about Burning Man and the MAPS conference so what I might end up doing is buying the computer in multiple shipments whenever I get cash. Is that a good idea or not? I appreciate any help in advance.
