There are thirteen fully functional berths at Port Qasim. Berth 1 to 4 with an available draft of 10 – 10.5 meters are managed and operated by PQA. These ports are capable of handling a ship carrying up to 50,000 tons of Coal. A State of Art Coal and Crinkle Terminal is under construction at Port Qasim. The designed draft of Coal and Crinkle Terminal is 12.5 meters.  
A railway station, located behind the back-up area of berths 1 - 4, connects the port with the national Railway network. Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, is at a distance of 30 km from Port Complex. The port has a dedicated Coal Storage yard with a maximum storage
