How To Mine LTC
Step 1: Download Litecoin if you haven't done so already
Step 2: Depending on your techie-ness, get the GUI or script-based miner. Pick GUI if in doubt.

Step 2.1: If you picked GUI, i recommend getting the files from the scripted link above and pasting them into the folder with the GUI files, its faster with those files
Step 3: Unzip somewhere like my documents
Step 4: Join a litecoin mining pool such as cryptopool  (http://cryptopool.info/)
Step 5: look for a url like http://cryptopool.info:8341 and make sure it isnt something like stratum+tcp://cryptopool.info:3335 
Step 6: Paste the part before the :#### into the url in the GUI and the 4 numbers at the end into the port
Step 7: Each pool has different usernames and passwords, for cryptopool its username.1 and the pass is x
Step 8: Click start mining and watch the money flow in
