I wasn't even re-prompted for credentials, I guess they were saved to Windows Credential Store. I've deleted the account file and restarted it. Command line git pull hangs for few minutes and when I quit it using Ctrd-D, console output is following: Couldn't find host bitbucket. Attention this will may reset some git settings too!
Seems like a big lag from changing the password to it being an issue in SourceTree. David's answer to this question worked for me. So for me the problem was that I had created my GitLab account via linking my GitHub account to it. I'm running into this problem too.
Have a question about this project? Open options and verify that you're signed in with an account that has permission to access this repository. If you have multiple accounts set up, it's not necessary to delete the whole passwd file. Then in sourcree accounts it reverts to another. As long as you use Visual Studio everything works as expected.

It never prompts a window with request for user and password Also verified this: credential. Restarting my machine didn't help either. I think it git push authentication failed to v1.
