KNOXVILLE, Ia. — After a one-year rest, Donny Schatz was back in triumph path at Knoxville Speedway. Schatz recovered his spot at the best with a triumph in the 57th Knoxville Nationals on Saturday night. It was the tenth triumph for Schatz who had five straight wins before being knocked off by Jason Johnson last season. Schatz held off a late charge by Kyle Larson to secure the triumph. Larson took second. Kerry Madsen took third. Johnson completed 11. David Gravel drove at an early stage, yet dropped out of the best spot when his motor fizzled and Schatz led the pack on lap 22.
