In this lesson we are going to connect our lead page to our tripwire page and we will be covering how we continue to generate sales from all of our new leads. For this particular campaign we use a type of native advertising that does very well. This type of display traffic is covered inside part 2 of CPA Display Masterclass. So to connect our lead page to Aweber we first must turn it on inside optimizepress like this: Step 1: Connect Optimizepress to Aweber Inside wordpress dashboard click on Optimizepress >> then Email Marketing >> then Aweber (or whatever autoresponder service you use) Then click connect. You will see this: Step 2: Set Up an Aweber List Login to your Aweber account and create a list. Here are step by step instructions >> https://help.aweber.com/hc/en-us/articles/204028176-How-Do-I-Create-A-New-List- Step 3: Connect Your Lead Page to The Aweber List Go into WordPress and find the lead page you created and then open the “live editor” and then find the form element and click to edit that form. You should see something like this: Step 4: Set Up Thanks Page as Tripwire Page Then you will see something like this: Now as you can see it is asking us to define where the “thank you page is”. This is where we insert the URL for the “tripwire offer”. The thank you page is actually the first page people see as soon as they submit their email! This is where we are going to try and make a sale. We will also add that same url into the user already subscribed box. This just means that if people already joined the list in the past they will still go to the advertorial we set up after they submit their email. Once you have done the settings be sure click “Insert” and Save page settings. Step 5: Test the Live Lead Page and Form At this point your lead page should now work perfectly – go there and try it yourself. If it doesn’t work, and you can’t figure it out for the life of you then please don’t hesitate to ask for help in the forum, someone may have an easy answer for you. Now let us assume you have your lead page, tripwire page, and affiliate offers all set up. Lets look at the funnel once more: The next very important step is we need to be able to send our leads continuous emails on auto pilot. This is exactly what Aweber is going to do for us. The first email people will likely receive is an opt-in email asking users if they wish to opt in to your list. This is an automatic template by Aweber. You can disable this feature so that people only receive your welcome email, or you can customize this opt in request email that is sent. It is recommended you simply customize the first “opt-in” email simple because it means your users are “double opt-in” subscribers. This is important not only for the quality of your list, but also for certain country or state laws. Double opt in subscribers mean they have first opted in by providing their email in the lead form, and second opted in by confirming their email address. So to increase the number of people who will double opt in you need to again offer these people a reason to stay on your email list. Here is where we can be creative and edit the “list settings” so that opt in email is compelling. Now inside Aweber you can go in and edit the message to say something like this. This is a bit more enticing and will hopefully keep people subscribed. We can also set up a custom thank you page for people who have double opted in. This means you get another chance to advertise to people who have joined your list. But at this point it is recommended you go bit more tame and start trying to build a relationship with your new subscribers – so you probably should lay off the promotions right now and send them to a page that thanks them for joining. Keep in mind as soon as they opt in there they will immediately receive your list welcome message. You need to set it up yourself inside aweber. In this particular niche we may send them a happy email thanking them for joining and to stay tuned for premium discounts and savings. Another option is to send them to a blog post or something we set up that offers free information. It could be a free download for some skin care techniques, or we could simply just thank them. Setting Up Auto Responder Ok at this point you have a way to get people on your list but you haven’t really sent them anything yet except the tripwire offer and a nice welcome message. So you need to build a email sequence. This can be done after you already started sending traffic to your funnel and started generating income. This part of the funnel takes time, and can be done over a longer period of time. As you add new messages to the autoresponder your subscribers will automatically receive them in the right order. Combining Affiliate Programs With Autoresponders Essentially what you are doing is promoting an affiliate product or service within an email autoresponder sequence. You write your email series, make sure you provide a ton of value to your subscribers, and consistently add in a sales pitch of affiliate products. This can work wonders as a passive income stream. Here’s an example… Let’s say you decided you want to promote an offer in the diet niche like we did in the follow along campaign located here >> http://powerhouseaffiliate.com/forum/forum/cpa-discussionforums/ follow-along-campaigns/1623-5-phase-list-building-sample-campaign-diet-niche You could create an autoresponder series of 10 short lessons on healthy eating, including success stories and even the products that these people used in their success. Each lesson focuses on providing education to your reader as the primary message and you end every lesson with a short sales pitch for the main product and subsequent products. When appropriate you mention they could make use of certain products and services. Over time more and more people subscribe to your autoresponder series and every now and then you make another sale. Later you add additional lessons to the sequence and include links to your own blog posts and social media profiles in order to build your traffic and authority inside your own niche. Over time this builds up into a substantial income stream, and best of all once you have written your autoresponder sequence, it’s pure passive income. If you have natural search engine traffic coming in, or another cost effective means to generate new subscribers, your affiliate income will continue to flow indefinitely. You can work this formula over time to build up an excellent source of passive income. It’s also a fantastic way to further monetize a list that you primarily use to build your client-base. The extra affiliate income may not be massive to start with but it certainly doesn’t hurt and you will learn some interesting things about your subscribers. Repeat Exposures It takes multiple exposures to a product before a person buys. It’s been tested to take between three and seven exposures before you close a deal, depending on what you sell, whether it’s offline or online marketing and all kinds of other variables. The important point is that it takes multiple exposures, once usually isn’t enough, and the same goes for affiliate selling. If you are planning on becoming a super affiliate you need to build marketing tools that expose your subscribers and readers to your promotions over and over again, and email autoresponders are perfect for just that purpose. What More Should You Know About Email Marketing? Email marketing is a beast in and of itself.
