Maggots are crawling out from my eyes, Six feet under is where my corpse lies. Scuttling across my body - oh so thin, Sinking their teeth into my decaying skin. The bustling world above me tarries on, Slowly forgetting my soul now that it's gone. The underworld beneath is busy gorging and dining, Upon my body, they dig for their treat through the silky red coffin lining. I do not scorn, in fact I welcome their embrace, Compared to the selfish living, it's a much slower pace. My body mass is decreasing, I don't have much time. The church bells above me, how loud I hear them chime! The remnants of the past is quickly fading away, Now all that's left is the remains of the day.
