While many people were focused on how Barcelona failed to score in their latest UEFA Champions League game, they may not have noticed the fans who managed to get on to the field because they wanted to meet their idol Lionel Messi. Did you see the photos? It seems that during the match between Barca and Olympiacos earlier this week, two fans were so overwhelmed by seeing Messi in the flesh that they couldn't help but interrupt the match to go and greet the Argentine. One of the fans hugged and kissed the star, whilst the other one just wanted a selfie. Messi is often bombarded by adoring fans during matches, so much so that he seems to have developed quite a calm and friendly response, no matter how bizarre the encounter. One even bent down to kiss his feet! The Barca star's great rival Cristiano Ronaldo is also often targeted by adoring supporters during his games as well, but if anything, he appears to enjoy the attention. Considering that the Champions League is one of the biggest sporting events in the world, it is still unclear how exactly fans are managing to bypass security and get up close and personal with the footballers. Perhaps UEFA should consider beefing up security because we would hate to see something bad happen to our favourite stars. What would you do if you saw Messi in real life?
