[METHOD] WHAM, BAMM, it's email marketing for noobs with YAMM!
I’ve been doing email marketing with Yet Another Mail Merge (YAMM) for about 2 months now with decent success for digital Ads, web design, and content creation services and thought I’d share a detailed Noob guide on how to get started!

So let’s dive in, enjoy!
Domain Name:
First, you’re going to want to purchase a domain name, something along the lines of “getcompanyname.com”. Personally, I use Namecheap.com for this and it’s a super easy process. You can typically get a good one for $15-20 CAD.
**Do not do email marketing with your money site domain!! There is the risk of being blacklisted and labelled as spam which you do not want associated with your main domain**
G Suite Setup:
Now you’re going to want to create a Gsuite account. You can do this through the following link:

Just select the Basic account as you don’t need the business option. For the email address I just used my first name, example, “jeff@getcompanyname.com.” I avoided creating a name like “sales@getcompanyname.com” because people tend to immediately think you’re selling something and won’t open the email resulting in a super low open rate.
Now you’ll need to verify that you own the domain, so just follow the steps provided by google.
The process is quite simple but can take over 24 hours for everything to be completed so be patient.
Spam & Security Filters:
Once that process is complete you need to add Spam filters/security through the NameCheap dashboard and Gsuite Admin Panel for your email.
Follow the steps below for each option:

This process can be a bit of a pain in the ass, so if you have any questions just shoot me a message and I’d be happy to help.

Optimize your Email:
After this, I would set a profile picture for your email account. If you get that stupid, “sorry we can’t do this right now” message then follow these steps:
go to your Google Admin Panel, click the 3 horizontal lines in the top left-hand corner, hover over directory, select “directory settings”, select “profile editing”, Click the “Photo” check box, and save.
You should now be able to change the photo, if not….. I wish you luck my friend.
Now, I would head on over to the website below and create a nice email signature, so you look professional. Its free don’t worry and they have lots of options.

Create Drafts:
Make draft Emails that you would like to send to your prospective clients. Here is an example I used for Website Design:

I'm sure you must be busy, but I’ve been browsing your website and ran into a couple of issues. I know some alterations that could greatly improve your online presence and bring in more clients, as I’ve done this with several businesses before.
If 5 - 10 minutes isn’t too much of your time, maybe we can jump on a quick call to discuss? I’m also local and can stop by anytime you’re free.

I would play around with variations of the message until you find something that works for you. Just save this as a draft and now you can download YAMM.
Yet Another Mail Merge:
Now its time to get YAMM set up on your GSuite account. Open up a new google sheet, select “add ons” in the top menu bar, select “get add ons” and search for Yet Another Mail Merge. You’ll get 1 month of premium free with the capability to send 1000 emails a day.
It will walk you through a very simple tutorial on how to use the add on and view the reports for your campaigns. But in case anything has changed here is a tutorial on their website of how to do it:

They also have tons of resources on how to schedule emails, send automatic emails based on certain criteria and much more on their website so be sure to take a look.
Now hold on a second:
I know you must be fired up now and just want to start blasting people with emails but please don’t haha
Just like with Instagram automation or really anything that’s not manually done on the internet you need to do a warm up phase so you don’t set off any red flags from Google.
I consulted some people from BHW to get these values and they seemed to work for me:
Week 1: Send 10-15 Emails /day Manually (no YAMM)
Week 2: Send 20-25 Emails /day Using YAMM
Week 3: Send 30-50 Emails /day Using YAMM
Week 4: Send 60-100 Emails /day Using YAMM
I am still testing with values past week 4, but it seems a gradual increase is ok, just randomize the number.
Just ensure whatever your lead Gen method is you’ll have enough to keep going daily!!
