Re: Invincible Glitch? Sent: Tue Oct 01, 2013 12:17 am by MrMasochism Look, you seem to think that you know what you are talking about but it's obvious enough that you don't. Pixelmon as a mod sits at close to a million lines of code. This protection plugin you are talking about is 1000 at most. For us to change our mod to make it compatible with every little plugin out there would be a ridiculous amount of work whereas for them to get to compatibility requires very little. The number of people now playing pixelmon also forces the hand of most support mods/plugins so that they now have to meet compatibility or someone else will do the job for them. I'm sure you still don't get it but oh well, shouldn't have wasted my time trying to explain, would have been obvious to anyone with any idea of what I was talking about Re: Invincible Glitch? Sent: Mon Sep 30, 2013 11:16 pm by Thomasjc wow, im not even going to reply to that arrogance. nevertheless, I found a way around the problem. Sorry for wasting your time. Re: Invincible Glitch? Sent: Mon Sep 30, 2013 10:18 pm by MrMasochism We didn't change anything that would affect that grief protection plugin. And yes, we consider ourselves big enough now that other mods will move to be compatible with us as optifine did recently Re: Invincible Glitch? Sent: Mon Sep 30, 2013 10:09 pm by Thomasjc So, let me get this straight... You guys change something on your end of the mod when 1.6.2 comes out, and expect its users to make and modify previous plugins to comply with pixelmon? Re: Invincible Glitch? Sent: Mon Sep 30, 2013 9:50 pm by MrMasochism No, we simply can't build to be compatible with plugins. However, since plugins are dead easy to write, you could write one that works. Re: Invincible Glitch? Sent: Mon Sep 30, 2013 9:31 pm by Thomasjc So, I take it nothings going to be done here? Re: Invincible Glitch? Sent: Mon Sep 30, 2013 9:00 pm by Thomasjc Greif Prevention, first of all, isnt a mod, It is a plugin. Which only protects land from being griefed. Secondly, these two; mod and plugin, worked perfectly together on 1.5.2, because I used it personally. Being that plugins do not need to be updated from update to update... I am using the exact same 1.5.2 version of the plugin. So, I don't think approaching those developers would be of any help. Re: Invincible Glitch? Sent: Mon Sep 30, 2013 8:53 pm by MrMasochism I have never officially supported bukkit. Trying to maintain compatibility with other (much smaller) mods is too much of a time drain. Our stance is for those mods to maintain compatibility with us. So I suggest you approach them over these issues Invincible Glitch? Sent: Mon Sep 30, 2013 8:40 pm by Thomasjc Because I am not comfortable posting on the forums about glitches, since last time... I decided to message you personally. So, Pixelmon do not take damage inside of a battle. I believe this glitch is on the mods end because pixelmon are protected within claims, but animals are not (when /containertrust public is on) with grief prevention. I know I am not the only one using this plugin to protect their land, because I have seen it and its very user friendly for players to use. Being that pokemon do not hurt each other in claims... I see that this is a major issue, due to the fact that we can not have... gyms, arenas, cities, or anything else that you dont want players to grief and it pretty much makes the mod that is pokemon battles, practically useless. Also, Ive noticed that apricorn trees don't grow. I don't know if this is because of the claim issue as well. Any fixes or help? Thanks.
