Marble painting is a type of painting done on marbles. A marble is a form of rock that is crystalline and metamorphic and when polished it can be used for various activities. This painting is usually very famous among children. It’s a type of painting that many education experts encourage as an early age development to kids. The main idea behind marble painting involves painting marbles and running them across a sheet of paper. In the syllabus it’s required that this activity is undertaken in the preschool where children find it enjoyable; they enjoy the beauty after doing the messy work. Materials Needed In Marble Painting In every activity materials are required and if you have preschool kids you’ll need them. The materials needed are easy to get and are not that fragile, very ideal for kids practice; These materials are enlisted below; 1. A shaking container: This is a container where you place the paper and marbles. It should be of preferably rectangle shape and have preventives on the edges to protect marbles from spilling over. 2. Sketch paper: This is the paper where the painting will reside. It is recommended to be in white because white makes colors to come out more clearly than any other color. 3. Marbles: The balls that will be painted and rolled over the sketch paper. 4. Poster paint: It’s a type of paint that when used it dries fast and the paint is permanent. This type of paintings has been used in the centuries before and is found to last longer. 5. Paint containers: An item used to put paint or mixing it. 6. Plastic spoons: Equipment used to scoop the paints and mixing them. Step By Step Marble Painting In order to undertake marble painting the steps are as follows: Process one of marble painting 1. Carefully cut the sketch paper in order to fit well on the shaking container. Attach it very nicely to avoid unproportional surface. 2. Take your poster paint, scoop it using the plastic spoon and add it to the plastic container. You can do this to obtain colours you want. 3. Add some water to the plastic containers containing the poster paints and mix them slowly to avoid spillage. Make sure that you use an estimated amount of water in accordance to the poster paint to avoid watery paints which will not bring about the beauty behind marble painting. 4. After obtaining the mixture, take two or three marbles and dip them in one container containing one color. To ensure that the paint is evenly spread on the marbles take your plastic spoon and slowly role the marbles in the paint. Do not remove the marbles till you ensure that the paint has fully coated them. 5. After undertaking the step above, take your marbles from the paint using the plastic spoon and put them in a clean container to avoid contaminating the paint. 6. Repeat this process for every two or three marbles and never should you place marbles of different colors into the same container.
