Real Madrid is ready to start negotiations to extend the contract of striker Karim Benzema until 2024, according to his Twitter Nicolo Schira.

On the eve of Benzema was named player of the week in the Champions League. He scored a hat-trick in the second leg of the 1/8 finals of the tournament against Paris Saint-Germain (3:1).

The 34-year-old French striker is under contract until June 30, 2023. The current transfer value, according to Transfermarkt.ru, is 25 million euros. In the 2021/22 season, Benzema made 33 appearances for the club, scoring 30 goals and providing 12 assists.
