Just played my copy of Leprosy, first time in years to be honest, and noticed it was going up and down like a carnival ride. What causes this? Is it storage? Heat? I'm guessing theres no way to rectify it and since it doesn't seem to affect the quality of the record, it's no big deal. Still, though kinda a niggling annoyance. Will have to start playing all my old lps to see which ones are affected in the same way Laughing My beloved clear orange Siege (drop dead) record spun like a Pringles (TM) potato chip when I first bought it. It was sandwiched in between the middle of some LP's for a few months and when I pulled it out to play one day, it was as smooth as butter. We don't have a lot of temp. variation and the area is dry. I dunno.... Shocked Pressure and heat would be the most logical assumption to the warping. What is the safest way when your record shelf is partially empty, as in the safest angle with storage of records, with them laying against each other leaned to the one side ?
