I called Eco Plus Solutions and informed them that we are not their customer, we did not order the cartridge and we had no intention of paying their invoice and that we would return the cartridge. Ultimately, the representative was simply continuing to argue and be confrontational and our conversation was going around in circles so I hung up. At this point we will be returning the cartridge - shipping their cost COD and will not be paying the invoice. The best option to deal with these types of companies is to state clearly on the initial phone call that you order office supplies elsewhere and hang up. They have never had the right printer or model number for our office, and we order all of out stationary materials internally within our company which we still require a PO. Eco Plus Solutions were never paid, and nor will they ever be. They just tried pulling the same scam on us once again and kept saying that my admin spoke to an Adam and a John. I reccomend that anyone who has ever heard of this company, knows someone has has dealt with them, get the word out on how they try and do business. When he told her we're getting toner she said that she needed to check with her boss me first. Our secretary became suspicious and started questioning this so-called purchase they claim we made. She then tracked me down and told me about the phone calls. I had been the victim of a toner scam by a company called Laser Recycling also from the Montreal area about 5 years ago. I suspect they are the same company. The Laser Recycling scam was very similar to what Eco Plus is trying to pull. Some toner lesser quantity than promised by the caller arrives via courier and an overinflated bill arrives a few weeks later. The toners were a lower quality, not authorized by the manufacturer aka VOIDS MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY!!! Any remaining toners from Laser Recycling had to be thrown out to avoid more damage to our copier. It took us months to stop Laser Recycling from sending and billing us for more toners. Yesterday, John from Eco Plus called again wanting payment. Luckily I was in the office this time. There was a shouting match during which I told him we did not, nor will ever purchase anything from them, that I knew this was a scam etc... John stated that they have not sold or shipped us anything Then why are you calling twice for payment John???? I advised them to never call our office again, and if they do, my legal counsel or the RCMP will be contacted. Only purchase manufacturer's recommended toners from a local authorized dealer!
