We’re sure most of you already know a bit about Bitcoin, but we thought some people may not be so familiar with it and, what could be a better way to start a blog about Bitcoin than introducing Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a digital currency completely decentralized, which means no government or bank controls it. It’s a coin based on basic cryptography and a peer to peer protocol, which makes it a very strong and secure cryptocurrency. It was created in 2009 by an anonymous guy nicknamed Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoins are created in a process known as bitcoin mining, which consists basically in breaking a mathematical hash and is an extremely difficult task for computers. In order to make bitcoin transactions, the only thing you need is a computer connected to the Internet.
