Yemeni rebels threaten to send missiles to the United Arab Emirates. Abdel Malek al-Huthi, the head of Yemen's Shiite rebels, threatened Thursday to launch a missile into the UAE and attack Saudi Arabia's tanker ship in the Red Sea. The UAE - a key Arab coalition member headed by Saudi Arabia to fight Iranian-backed rebels in the Yemeni conflict - "is now within our missile range," Huthi told Al Masirah rebel television. "Companies established or investing in the UAE should regard the country as unsafe," he said. Huthi said his troops had developed their missile technology to reach targets north of the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh and south of Mecca in the western region of the oil-rich kingdom. The rebel naval forces were able to attack Saudi Arabia's oil and tanker installations on the Red Sea, he said, warning against any attempt to seize the rebel-held Hodeida port. More than 8,400 people have been killed since the Arab coalition intervened to support the Yemeni government in March 2015.
