Just a quick review for those of you thinking about checking out Ore-Mine.com. What It Is: Ore-mine.com claims to be an online Bitcoin mine in the form of a game – a very tiny game, where you click a box once every 8 hours. Kind of boring, and only tiny amounts of BTC, but it’s free money, right? My Experience: I started with Ore-Mine.com about 2 weeks ago. So, I logged in about once a day, did my clicking, got up to some small fraction of a BTC – I think it was about .00008, went to log in today, and *poof!* my account is gone. I know I didn’t have the wrong password or login information for several reasons – firstly, I just saved it in the browser, so it auto-filled whenever I loaded the page. Second, I keep pretty detailed records in an encrypted file in Evernote. I made sure all the information matched up – which it did and thought, “hey, maybe there were problems with their servers and they reset my password.” So I visited the “Lost Password” page on Ore-Mine, where you type in the email address you used to sign up. Unfortunately, that email was deemed to be wrong. My Conclusion: Ore-Mine.com is not what it purports to be. It claimed to basically be a slightly game-ified BTC faucet, but as soon as I started gaining traction, my account is mysteriously deleted. If I were someone teetering on whether or not to join Ore-Mine.com, I would pass, and save myself the time of signing up.
