Go to Console tab, and then you have to enable mining using “setgenerate true -1? command. You can verify first by typing “getmininginfo” (with out quotes) into the console tab, and press enter. You will see that “setgenerate” is set to “false”. Now type “setgenerate true -1? into the console tab and press enter. Enter “getmininginfo” again to see if it started solo mining. If you see “setgenerate” : true, then that means you are mining. The “getmininginfo” command also shows some useful information, for example you can see number of blocks already mined, difficulty, and networkhash rate (networkhashps). Now a days Dogecoin has really taken off and the current difficulty is very high, you won’t generate any coins if you solo mine with this application. Even if you put a machine dedicated to Dogecoing mining and run continuously, this is 24/7, then also generating any coins will take weeks and months and the energy costs will increase like anything and you wont find any profits. In this situation you have to pool mine with others, then you have a chance of generating dogecoins based on your computer CPU power.
