WHY IS GHANA THE MOST HOSPITABLE PLACE IN THE WORLD? Most feedback received from foreigners who visit Ghana is "this country is the most hospitable place in the world". I will like to share with you some major factors contributing to this good commendation for Ghanaians. 1. SOCIAL FACTOR: The Ghanaian constitution permits every tribe to marry from any ethnic group of their choice. The freedom of assocation and intermarriage culture tends to fuse all Ghanaians as one family. This development has naturally formed every individual to be the brother's keeper. The unity in our society allows us to treat even foreigners as family members. 2. EDUCATION FACTOR: The Ghanaian teacher or student is posted at random to any region to teach or study. The average period spent in a community (due to study or teaching) is three years. By the time the individual completes his or her assignment, they would have become accustomed to the culture of that community. This practice enables us to understand each other and treat everyone equally, even foreigners. 3. NATIONAL SECURITY: The National is uniformly made up of all tribes and ethnic group. Security personnels are also posted at random to perform their duty in any ethnic locality. The proportional mixture of ethnicity in the National security, helps to promote peace. Most Ghanaian soldiers and police do offer services as peace keepers for the United Nations and become friends with foreign nationals, making them hospitable to everyone. 4.ECONOMIC FACTOR: Most Ghanaians travel a lot to seek greener around the world. In view of this, the Ghanaian will always want to treat a foreigner as a brother or sister, with the hope Ghanaians would be equally treated as brothers in foreign lands. These are some of the major factors, making Ghana the most hospitable place in the world. It is our hope that wherever a Ghanaian exist in the world, he or she would be treated well as we do for our visitors.
