Warwick Castle The Warwick Castle was built in the 11th century, 1068 to be precise, by a great leader named William the Conqueror. It is located in Warwickshire and until now, the castle is open and still in use. The castle used to be wooden but sometime in the 12th century, it was renovated into stone. The castle became a fortress during the 14th century Hundred Years War. It has remained as such for 300 years until the Greville Family obtained it through a grant by James I. They made it into their country home and now it’s a tourist attraction.
