Shared derived traits are the traits evolved and are present in two lineages.
These traits are maintained up to their clade. These are the traits on the basis
of which organisms are grouped into clades.
Ex1: amphibians, birds, mammals have 4 limbs.
Ex2: Hair is a shared derived character for mammals.
