Second Home Link Redundant? I’m debating whether I should remove the “Home” link existing in the footer section of my site. I have a clickable logo in the site’s header. Is the second link considered to be redundant? Do most users realize that header logos usually link to to the home page? BTW my home page isn’t my primary page. Most visitors enter on other pages. Thanks! Are you worried that the second link will create confusion, leading visitors to expect a different page than the one linked from the top? If not, I don’t see what harm it can do to have more than one. ++++++++++++++ list of top cheapest host http://Listfreetop.pw Top 200 best traffic exchange sites http://Listfreetop.pw/surf free link exchange sites list http://Listfreetop.pw/links list of top ptc sites list of top ptp sites Listfreetop.pw Listfreetop.pw +++++++++++++++ Like you, I don’t have a front-driven site. But when people do eventually go to the home page, they seem to get there with no help from me at all: more often than not, logs show request for / without referer, meaning that they manually tweaked their browser’s address bar. Admittedly I’ve got wonky navigation, but I don’t get the sense that they tried everything else and finally in despair requested the page manually. I do have a link to my home page, at the top, and at the bottom of the pages. The reason is simply to avoid people to scroll all the way up , if they want to reach the home page, something which can be a pain on mobile devices. to avoid people to scroll all the way up I have a position:fixed “back to top” button on all pages for this very reason. I also have a fixed position “back to top” button. I’m not concerned that visitors will think the footer “Home” link is a different page. I had read that links shouldn’t be repeated if they are already in the primary navigation or in in case of “home", in a clickable logo. I think I’ll remove my second “Store” link but will probably keep the second “Home” link because it does make it easier for visitors who are unfamiliar with the site. Navigation in header is footer is pretty standard. I have both. However, in all things web ... KISS, don't over do it. :) mercatox.com domain 6 parsons brainbux.com trusthourlybtc.com linkstart.in domain squatting hosting 24 phone number make money gta 4 klixion.com etsy.com host havoc
