Isn't it obvious the reason behind the reduction? In most northern states, remedial program is the medium through which admission is gotten into universities.
Has anyone bothered to ask why someone from Zamfara state will score less than 10 marks and be admitted into any of the Unity schools owned by the Federal Government, while someone from any of the South East states would have to score over 120 marks before s/he can be admitted.
It's just a ploy for Nigerians not to see the ethnic bias behind the decision and no one should come here and say that the head of JAMB is a Yoruba man so my conclusion has no basis. Just ask yourself, while Osinbajo was the Acting President, how many presidential orders was he allowed to make?
Some persons just have this sense of entitlement of the entity called Nigeria. The big poser is, but for how long will this believe that they own Nigeria continue?
