In later years, he showed up as Cornelius Fudge, the Minister for Magic, in four of the Harry Potter movies.

His youngsters Emma, Justine and Paul said in the announcement: "Father is additionally recognized as a fastidious etymologist, a fine craftsman, an admirer of music and a champion of writing, too an exceedingly regarded student of history, and a main authority on the longbow. 

"He was a basic piece of the group that raised the considerable Tudor warship The Mary Rose."

With his in a flash unmistakable voice and British bulldog way, Robert Hardy appreciated a recognized acting profession which spread over seven decades. 

When he charmed himself to TV groups of onlookers in the BBC's All Creatures Great and Small, he had effectively cut out a notoriety for being one of Britain's most adaptable on-screen characters. 

While his prior vocation gave him a firm establishing in the performance center his best known parts were before the camera - especially in TV, a medium he clearly appreciated.

Strong, from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, began his acting vocation at 24 years old with the Shakespeare Memorial Company in Stratford, later the Royal Shakespeare Company, featuring in a phase adjustment of Coriolanus. 

The RSC said it was "exceptionally sad" to learn of his passing and posted a photo from one of his creations.
