GAME Of Thrones’ top five stars are reportedly earning £2 million per episode, which makes them the highest-paid actors in television history. Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey(Cersei Lannister), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau(Jaime Lannister) have all signed “golden contracts” for the fantasy drama’s seventh and eighth series. The agreement contains complex bonus clauses based on the shared percentages of syndication payments received from more than 170 countries in which the show is broadcast. The stars will also benefit from payments from re-runs, with episodes earning audiences of 23 million people during the sixth season. These record-breaking salaries mean they have earned more than the stars of Friends and The Big Bang Theory, who famously negotiated £764,000 per episode.
