Don't get caught using Photoshop

  1. If you've ever used photoshop to edit a receipt.psd to SE a product from somewhere, then you may have unknowingly killed your chances.
  2. Photoshop is one of those image editors that likes to stick in metadata and EXIF data.
  3. This means that it's possible for a company to check if you have used photoshop to edit the photo by checking its headers or whatever, and getting caught like that isn't so great since it kind of gives them a case against you for fraud.
  4. Want to know how to avoid jail time?

  6. oh and open Photoshop and go to File -> Save for web... once you're done editing that beautiful proof of purchase
  7. Once you've completed those important steps, select JPEG as the picture type since most cameras take photos in JPEGs, then find the Metadata section and change it from "Copyright and Contact info" to "None".
  8. Now as long as you did a half-decent 'shop you probably won't be acquitted on charges of falsifying receipts
