  1. ImgWater gives you the tools you need to protect your images from unauthorized reuse by adding your own customized watermarks. Especially if you regularly put your own images up on a blog or other public site, you need a good way to prevent others from repurposing those images, and this program is a good option.
  2. The interface of ImgWater is intuitive and streamlined, with options for customizing all kinds of features for your watermarks. To get started, just import the image you want to protect from your computer, and then choose the font from a long list of possibilities. There are also four options for font style, including regular, italic, bold, and bold italic, and font size can range from 8 point to 72 point. Next, choose the font color from the 16-color palate, and pick your script type from a list that includes Western, Greek, Turkish, Baltic, Central European, Cyrillic, and Vietnamese. When you have all of your options selected, type whatever you'd like in the text entry box in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. The watermark will display in the center of your image by default, although you can decide whether you want it at the top, middle, or bottom of the screen. You can also set the transparency level you'd like from five options ranging from ten percent to 100 percent, and you can preview what your watermarked image will look like before making changes final.
  3. This program is free, straightforward to use, and runs smoothly. One minor drawback is that the image window doesn't display the entire image, and so you have to scroll back and forth to see all areas of the picture or find the watermark. This isn't a major problem, but it is a little inconvenient. Overall, though, this program is certainly worth taking for a test drive if you often post your own images in public areas online and want to prevent them from being repurposed without authorization.

  5. From Techy Geeks Home:
  6. Utility to add custom watermarking to images. Using this tool you can import your own image and view it in the preview pane - then using the toolbar options, you can change the settings for font, size, location and colour until you are happy with your selection, then you can preview the custom watermark that you have created and save it to a selected location on your computer. This can then be used as a copyrighted image to you so that no one else can steal your images! You may find this utility particularly useful if you are an online seller or a blogger and want to protect your images.
  7. What's new in this version: Version 1.2: Added a diagonal align option for watermark text position. Basic layout change.
