  1. Staxofax Lite Portable adds functionality for your standard Windows Clipboard by making it larger and able to hold many clips at once. Store items you use again and again, or do a large volume of copying and pasting without having to go back and forth between two documents or pages.
  2. Pros
  3. Automatic recording: To save a clip to StaxoFax, all you have to do is copy it just like you would anything you want to paste later. The app automatically stores anything you copy using the standard Windows Copy feature and keeps these clips in a list in the left-hand column of the interface. Items in this left-hand list will eventually rotate off as more items are added. But if there are items you want to keep permanently, you can drag and drop them onto the right-hand column.
  4. Preview window: The list of clips only includes a short bit of the beginning of the clip or a description if the item is not text. So if you want to see exactly what each item is without pasting it into a new document, you can hover your mouse over the description to see the full clip or image appear in a pop-up window in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
  5. Cons
  6. No tutorial: This app's interface can take a little getting used to at first, and while there is an option to view Tutorial Videos, these videos don't actually play. Hopefully they will be back online soon, because they would be a big help when you're learning how to use the program.
  7. Bottom Line
  8. This can be a very useful app once you get the hang of its interface. It's free, and it provides a convenient service, so if you often have to copy and paste multiple items, it's worth trying out.
  9. Publisher's Description
  10. From Staxofax:
  11. Staxofax Lite Portable allows you to keep, use, and backup all this information in one beautifully simple app. Every computer user stores mail addresses, email addresses, web sites, phone numbers, photographs, notes, screen shots, graphics and text items on their PC. The problem is that they are all in different places and they can all be lost when their associated program is changed or the computer or hard disk fails. If you save a web address, it becomes a bookmark which will fetch the site no matter which browser you use. If you save an email address, it will launch your email client with that address entered irrelevant of whether you have changed email programs.
  12. What's new in this version: Minor bug fix.
