  1. Maputo Special Reserve
  2. Maputo Special Reserve used to be the Maputo Elephant Reserve in Maputo Bay, Mozambique. Today, it is a nature reserved and was established back in 1932. The reserve is 100 kilometers away from Maputo City and it has an area of 77,400 hectares. There are talks about the inclusion of Maputo Special Reserve with Lubombo Transfrontier Conservation Area – national parks in Mozambique, Swaziland and South Africa are part of the Lubombo. There are at least 350 elephants living in the reserve with zebras, hippos, crocodiles and more animals.
