Studying geological structures
The study of geologic structures was carried out by firstly examining their nature (e.g. primary and/or secondary), based on the rock unit in which they are observed. Secondly, their orientation was determined and finally interpretation of their formation (i.e. whether they resulted from compressional or tensional stress) was the last thing to be discussed.
