  2. Do you have some kind of problem with me? If so, I wish you would address it publicly instead of changing my flair and removing me as a moderator where the head mod legitimately made me a moderator there.
  3. /u/wintermute M
  4. No personal problem, in fact I am sorry to see all the shit coming your way but.some things you propagate are just the complete contrary to what we try to teach user here on dread. There is no opsec overkill ever. Its always better to be safe than sorry and having you running an important sub while giving out very questionable opsec advice is something we don't need. To be fair you do post valuable and fairly accurate content as well but you don't seem to know a lot about how the Tor network actually works and to be candid it doesn't look like you really have any experience in the IT field at all buy you are very persistent about your point of views up to a point where you just start to insult user who disagree with you. No surprise that people don't want to argue with you if think about it.
  5. I gave you the flair so new user think twice about your comments. Please understand that due to the sheer amount of comments you post it is not possible to explain where you might be wrong on every single one of them. Somebody would have to follow you around all day which I think is something nobody wants. Let me give you an advice. Try to keep your mind open and don't see everything as an attack on you or your believes. Your input here is appreciated but you should slow down sometimes.
  6. Questionable opsec advice you ask?
  7. You basiclly tell people that using windows is not a big deal, bitlocker a reasonable tool to encrypt your files, Apps like Wickr are reasonably secure, Tor devs are retards for being OpSec paranoid, Brave is a viable alternative to the Tor Browser Bundle and on top you shared shortened links (you earn money from) that require javascript while trying to play down the dangers of javascript on more than one post. This is just what I found in my 30 minutes of research into your account.
  8. Other than that just do your thing. You have a right to be here like anyone else and to say whatever you want.
  9. 5 days ago
  10. Okay, let's get to the meat of the discussion. It's obvious you're arguments against me are extremely petty and if I don't follow the "DMN Bible" I'm automatically wrong. No room for dissenting opinions. Nobody can take advice other than from the DMN Bible? Is that what you're telling me? This is absolutely ludicrous.
  11. >You basiclly tell people that using windows is not a big deal, bitlocker a reasonable tool to encrypt your files,
  12. Are you not familiar with Bitlocker? It encrypts your HDD in AES-XTS. What is wrong with Bitlocker? Do you seriously think the FBI has put a backdoor in it or something? It has been verified by 3rd parties multiple times and is a secure way to encrypt your data. If you have EVIDENCE showing otherwise, please show it to me.
  13. >Apps like Wickr are reasonably secure
  14. That is your OPINION. I spent hours pouring over documents, studies, legal text, and everything else to demonstrate that Wickr IS SECURE. Perhaps you would like to read my thread before you just jump the gun and say "Oh Amazon bought it, so now LE is all over it." I presented my documentation on Wickr in an extremely through manner with scientific studies and data. I have yet to see anyone show me evidence to the contrary other than pure speculation.
  15. As I titled the thread "Counterpoint" - meaning I wanted people to DISCUSS it. I wish you would take some time to actually read what I took HOURS of time out of my day to post on this forum for the community to look at and discuss and decide for themselves.
  16. Quote from article: "So, the main question is can you trust Wickr? That decision is ultimately up to you."
  17. Maybe if you actually took the time to read it you might learn something.
  18. /post/cb8425dd16cccc17a7c8
  19. >Tor devs are retards for being OpSec paranoid
  20. So again, because the Tor devs did it, it's written in stone and can't be questioned or discussed? Aldo, I never said they were retards. I just said I had a disagreement with this feature. Have an open mind dude. People make mistakes. The TOR Project is a VERY small team of people. Just because I express my opinion you change my flair to "Opsec Fail" and demod me. Sure, whatever.
  21. >Brave is a viable alternative to the Tor Browser Bundle
  22. Never said that dude. I MENTIONED that Brave browser happens to have an in private TOR browser built into it. So discussing functions in other browsers is somehow dangerous or might lead people to getting busted?? Get real man.
  23. I don't understand this mindset that if I express an OPINION or just say something, people are automatically going to take it as fact? This is why I quote sources, references, and peer reviewed studies for the things I say.
  24. >and on top you shared shortened links (you earn money from) that require javascript
  25. This is a COMPLETE falsehood and misunderstanding of how affiliate programs work. If peoples javascript is already OFF HOW ARE THEY GOING TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS THIS LINK???
  26. And if you think I'm honestly getting paid from this you're in lala land. I take time out of my day to write articles to try to benefit members of the community and the forum and all I get is shit for it. Is my hours or work worth nothing? If someone decides to click on an Amazon link and buy from me, I might get 10 cents. Believe me, I'm not rolling in doe from posting articles on here to HELP people. I put in WORK, TIME, SWEAT, BLOOD, and EFFORT to try and provide people solid information on here. IMO, that should be worth posting affiliate links.
  27. You seem to act like I'm just posting nonstop that you can't keep up, but your OPINIONS on how OpSec should be done are just that. OPINIONS.
  28. >while trying to play down the dangers of javascript on more than one post.
  29. This is more bullshit you never actually saw me post, but heard it through the grapevine. I will explain YET ANOTHER TIME what happened.
  30. A member here wanted to access Google Maps or Earth or something, I don't remember. If you can't access a clearnet site because you have Javascript off you have two options.
  31. 1) You can turn Javascript on and visit that site and once you're done, turn it back off (This is exactly what I told this user). Bear in mind this was on a GOOGLE server, not some weird ass phishing link.
  32. 2) You can use a clearnet browser.
  33. Keep in mind NoScript is still running and it blocks any sort of questionable/malicious JavaScript that the user would have encountered if he had disabled it. A Basic Guide to NoScript: https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=23974&sid=dc0df823aa00185cc16a5f50e9a7f850 [the mod who runs /d/OpSec doesn't understand the basics of JS or how NoScript works in the Tor Browser]
  34. I NEVER EVER advocated anyone turn on Javascript and leave it on. NEVER. That is a complete fabrication spread by the trolls in CafeDread. These are the same people who call me a fed/narc/snitch, send me PMs telling me to get cancer and die and to kill myself.
  35. Furthermore, everyone here is SO PARANOID of JavaScript it's like fucking COVID. JavaScript is an extremely limited scripting language of what it can do. It cannot execute files remotely on your computer. It cannot install viruses or trojans. The ONLY time I know of that JavaScript was a threat when a bunch of pedos using TOR went to a FBI sting set left JavaScript on and through EXTREMELY complex maneuvering the FBI was able to locate their IPs.
  36. It's like my god. This is just beyond ridiculous. Let me show you a few of my posts I spent on some articles upwards of 12 hours writing these articles for the BENEFIT of the community. You obviously disagree with my Wickr thread (even though you haven't read it)
  37. CONFIRMED: SSD Drives Cannot be "Wiped" by Secure Wiping Software like CCleaner/DBAN
  38. /post/c60fbbe193239b33b76e
  39. This is a long article with plenty of references showing that SSD HDDs can not be wiped or "securely deleted" with that type of software and another way needs to be found. I'm actually working on a solution for that right now.
  40. Oral Drug Metabolism Enhancement SUPER THREAD! Learn how to make your drugs work better for YOU!
  41. /post/3741d122396fd5431296
  42. This post goes over drugs and other supplements you can take to increase the high you're getting. It is pretty complicated and there are a lot of references, but the directions are in red.
  43. best way to take heroin in order, snorting, smoking or injecting
  44. /post/df17fd4de296c0366b3f
  45. I explain to a user how to use harm reduction to take the drug of his choice.
  46. For some reason, a thread I posted 1 month ago got sent back into the Pending Approval queue, but here is the thread in question as I'm sure you can read it.
  47. StarScream's DIY @ Home Opioid Withdrawal Detox
  48. /post/1a7cbef35ad94912e56f/
  49. This is a step by step guide for users at home to help withdrawal off opioids with minimal side effects going completely cold turkey. I wrote it from personal experience and from a scientific study I found that has been seriously mis-overlooked for it's benefits in opioid withdrawal.
  50. And here's yet another article that's a work in progress. It's meant to help people in legal scenarios on how to deal with police, how to find a lawyer, and I was planning on adding another section about cleaning house, until this whole escapade started.
  51. Guide to Cleaning House/Prepping for a Possible Raid (Hypothetical/Looking for Feedback)
  52. /post/b628eb9a9b4e1779d2fa
  53. If you think I'm doing this to make money, I'll take some screen shots of my affiliate programs for you and show you I HAVEN'T MADE A DIME. The reason is simple. JavaScript is disabled and there are no cookies on TOR Browser, so it can't track the link back to me.
  54. So why do I do it? I don't know, I guess I just feel like sharing my knowledge with people and helping them. You seem to feel that any opinions outside of your own narrow opinions are TOTALLY WRONG END OF DISCUSSION.
  55. >This is just what I found in my 30 minutes of research into your account. [Spent 30 minutes looking through my posts to make a final judgement on me that ended up with him permbanning me]
  56. I'm so glad you were able to quickly browse my threads and manage to misquote me so many times.
  57. You obviously disagree with my point of view. I don't disagree with yours, but I thought this forum was supposed to be about free speech and the ability to discuss whatever you wanted?
  58. And then you demod me from CafeDread? Like lol, why??? That's just a place to kick back and chill, it's not a serious forum. But clearly my opinions have OFFENDED you so much that you feel the need to demod me. I never banned anyone, I never deleted a thread. I never intimidated a user.
  59. If I offer opinions you don't like and you don't have "enough time" to go through all my posts to "debunk" my "whacky and wild" theories, then hire some more Monks who Worship your DNM Bible so they can come and tell me I'm wrong.
  60. If I'm wrong I'm willing to admit so. So far, all I've gotten from you is the typical bullshit conspiracy theories that people who are so dedicated to their OpSec they can't see the forest from through the trees. You have to come to a point in your operational security where you say "Okay, I've done everything I can, my system is secure as it can be, there's nothing more I can do". But there will NEVER be a day where another exploit isn't found or another vulnerability isn't discovered. Stop cowering in fear. Learn and grown. Be willing to change your mind.
  61. I CAN'T use Tails because of my shitty router. But have I ever said to someone "No, don't use Tails". Of course not, I would always tell people to use Tails over Windows any day of the week. All I want to be able to do is express my opinion on subjects which you THINK you know, but in fact are VERY MISLEAD on.
  62. So go ahead, demod me, ban me, whatever you think is appropriate. If you don't let other people express their opinion no one will learn anything new. Did you happen to see any of my threads you dug through where my OpSec was CORRECT?
  63. Be willing to allow other people to share their opinions. Nothing I have said is dangerous is going to cause people to get busted. If you SERIOUSLY believe that you are twisted.
  64. I'm done because this is obviously long enough. But you don't have to treat OpSec like it's some kind of sanctuary where if it's not in the DMN Bible it's wrong. And that was totally unfair of you to demod me. You did that out of pure retaliation because you disagree with me.

  70. Short version>
  71. Bitlocker as well as wickr are closed source technology which is widely considered insecure in our realms. In wickr's case It has nothing to do with amazon purchasing it. It was a shit show long before. Bitlocker = Windows. Do I really have to explain why using windows in our line of business is a bad choice?
  72. I don't even read the rest of your message because I see where this is going. Obviously everybody is wrong and you are right. Good luck with that attitude.

  74. /u/StarScream999
  75. *sigh*.... What I'm trying to do is engage with you in what is called the Socratic Method.
  76. Socratic method
  77. The Socratic method is a form of cooperative argumentative dialogue between individuals, based on asking and answering questions to stimulate critical thinking and to draw out ideas and underlying presuppositions
  78. I'm not trying to say everything I say is right and everything you say is wrong. But I would ASSUME you would at least be willing to argue your points. Just because something is closed source doesn't make it bad. You can't use 100% open source software, it just doesn't work. You can't live in this utopian ideal where everything should be open source. I wish it was, but it just doesn't work like that. And, tell me, how often have you personally reviewed the codebase of ANY open source software? Unless you know how to program, I would venture to guess none. So, again, just like Bitlocker you are _trusting_ other people's opinion on the software and assuming just because it's open source it's "good". Why? Are open source people more trustworthy? Have you ever spoken to any of the people that have audited the open source software? You get my drift? You're trying to circle the square living under the assumption that open source software is "safer, better, reviewed", but who are the people that are checking that the open source software is legitimate? You are taking _their_ word for it and I don't see how that is any different than using proprietary software.
  79. Yes, I would like you to explain why using Windows with TOR Browser is a bad choice. My entire HDD is encrypted, it can't be cracked. TOR Browser for Windows doesn't leak data. What's my risk factor?
  80. Besides that, I guess everything else I wrote to you was a complete waste because you like to be the boss, push people around, and then not back up your arguments with legitimate facts.
  81. SO TELL ME WHY USING WINDOWS WITH TOR BROWSER IS BAD AND PLEASE - INCLUDE SOME LEGITIMATE SOURCES, OPINIONS DON'T COUNT.
  82. 5 days ago
  83. /u/wintermute M
  84. Okay you got me I just love to be the boss and enjoy it to push you around. That's me. Glad we figured that out.
  85. Thank you for your input.

  88. Nice way to cop out of a discussion. You didn't answer ANY of my questions. You claim to know all this complex OpSec shit but won't even take the time to explain why you think Windows is bad, Bitlocker is bad, Wickr is bad, other than they're "closed source".
  89. That's a great line of thinking. I'm glad I wasted all that time trying make my points CLEAR, COHERENT, and COGNIZANT to you, but you just ignore them.
  90. You can eat a dick man. You have no fucking balls.

  93. And this is the reason people don't like to talk to you.
  94. Listen I don't know you but you come across pretty toxic and it seems like a lot of people have issues with you for the way you are. Just ask yourself if its really always the others who are at fault. I only removed you from the modlist to avoid more humiliation because you don't really believe shizzle added you because he likes you, right? He was mocking you and trolling your trolls at the same time.
  95. Now do yourself a favor and get off dread for a while until you are in a better shape again. You don't seem too stable to be honest and this platform isn't really helping. You sometimes post quality comments but you are slipping. Isn't the first time I see this. We have people like you showing up every few month.

  98. >And this is the reason people don't like to talk to you.
  99. Oh is that a fact? And you know people don't like to talk to me on here? I'm sorry the search function is gone, but I give GOOD and SOLID advice to people. If you don't agree with it, fine. If you don't want to argue your point, fine.
  100. But PLENTY of people talk to me on here and I get more thank yous than I can count in a day for helping people with their problems. I'm not trying to brag or play a game of who has a bigger dick contest, but your contentions are completely wrong. You just don't see it because you're only looking for the negative in my posts. You don't like what I have to say so you just abuse your mod privileges. That's very mature.
  101. >Listen I don't know you but you come across pretty toxic and it seems like a lot of people have issues with you for the way you are.
  102. If you act like an asshole, you should expect to be treated like one. You have done nothing but show me absolute disrespect and not even BOTHERED to argue your points other than "it's not open source, therefore it's bad". You didn't message me before demodding me. I have never even HEARD of you before today. You didn't have any common courtesy to say to PM me and say "Hey, we prefer to use the DMN Bible as our source for sharing knowledge from members and discourage people from using closed source software." You just made assumptions about me and they are COMPLETELY WRONG.
  103. Again, I'm just curious, I know you probably won't answer me, but when you were spending those 30 minutes looking at all my "Terrible OpSec" posts, did you see any valid ones? Did you see me give any good advice AT ALL? You've probably already forgotten.
  104. >Just ask yourself if its really always the others who are at fault.
  105. This entire shit started MERELY because I didn't want bars on the side of my browser. That's it. Period. Then EVERYBODY attacked me like I had just called their mom a cunt or something. All the rumors started spreading that I was telling people to turn off JavaScript, that I was telling people to turn off the letterboxxing on the side of the browser. None of that ever happened. I just wanted to turn them off in my browser, but trolls will be trolls and they sure did spread my name around like it was shit on toilet paper.
  106. >I only removed you from the modlist to avoid more humiliation because you don't really believe shizzle added you because he likes you, right? He was mocking you and trolling your trolls at the same time.
  107. Oh really? Is that right? He must be a pretty good liar, I'll be sure and let him know that's what you think about him. Because he was extremely kind and courteous to me last night and called out one of his own mods for harassing me constantly.
  108. http://dreadytofatroptsdj6io7l3xptbet6onoyno2yv7jicoxknyazubrad.onion/u/foshizzledizzle?p=2 (look for the thread "Fed Alert")
  109. >You don't seem too stable to be honest and this platform isn't really helping. You sometimes post quality comments but you are slipping. Isn't the first time I see this. We have people like you showing up every few month.
  110. I don't seem to be HONEST? Please explain yourself. Please forgive me sir for getting mad. But, when I get demodded out of the blue for absolutely no reason with no warning, it's kind of irritating, to say the least, so that makes me "unstable". Sure. Yes, I agree, Dread is shit, the admins are shit, the mods are shit, the users are shit. But don't throw me in the category of some fake ass OpSec "genius" who pops on here, acts like he knows what he's talking about, and then disappears. I'd be very curious to know how old you are. Because you seem to like act like you know what you're talking about, but you can't seem to back it up with anything, which is either sheer laziness or crass ignorance.
  111. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if you banned me from OpSec because you can't validate your own arguments, let alone mine.
  112. You keep claiming you know what you're talking about, but I have yet to see any proof of it. Just because you're a mod you're an expert? Believe me, I've seen plenty of mods who don't know shit from shine.
  113. I'll leave it at that before you accuse me of having a "breakdown" or some bullshit. And sorry, I'm still going to continue to advocate Bitlocker along with VeraCrypt, I'm still going to let people make up their own mind about Wickr, and if you pull the pussy move and ban me, I'll just make an alt and keep on posting.
  114. Thanks so much for your time. I enjoy our little conversations.
