The Nighthawk Ac2600 R7450 is a very affordable smart Wi-Fi router providing very fast speed up to 2600Mbpsstable connectivity, and a very good distance range. Right now it provides excellent coverage in a 12,000 square feet building plus 50 feet outside. The set up is very easy if one uses the nighthawk app. Just connect the router to the modem, turn it on and wait for led lights to turn green, and then connect to the Netgear nighthawk ac2400 Nighthawk networks on your phone Wi-Fi settings. After Christmas I went out a bought a 16x4 net gear modem and this router to upgrade from my 8x2 modem and my Cisco router from 2010. Before I setup this Nighthawk and my new modem I was getting max 30mbps which was trash because Comcast was promising 120+ mbps after setting up just the router first I got up to 100mbps wireless and 120mbps wired, and finally after installing the modem I got 140mbps wireless and 180mbps wired. The router alone boosted my speeds significantly more then the newer modem did. I just had to power off the router and power it back on to fix this but I did have to manually configurate the router to get around this. I'm still not sure what that setup wizard does but other than that I have nothing but praise for this purchase. This Netgear router is by far the best router I've owned. Best bang for the buck. Super easy to setup and configure. I've got this installed and lit in less then 10 minutes. The Netgear apps make it super easy to manage your router and control security and traffic. Netgear made it right with this one. Netgear nighthawk ac2400 was a purchase made to aide in the expansion of our Wi-Fi network, as well as a speed increase. The speed increase is noticeable, but the range increase was minimal. I live in a ~2,200 sqft. The router is on one side of the house in the open. I'd estimate that the range increase was about 20% not exactly sure what the prior router was, but I can assure you, it's old. The features are good and the option to monitor who's on your network and give them the boot from the app is nice, though.
