Fool me once, never again. The purchase itself went smoothly and I have nothing but good to say on amazons behalf but as far as the game itself well. The skepticism of it not living up to its hype almost began immediatly with the storyline. The intro is slow and drags on longer than it needed to and was very anti-climatic. They will seek out trees to run into and arthur himself likes to trip over everything possible. Oh and theres a ton of bugs that happen to ruin your enjoyment. I can already see where micro transactions will be prominent. I would recommend trying before buying. Idk about those saying it's too complicated now, don't listen. The game isn't made to play in a day. Their reviews should be 'let go' to nicely put it lol. Great game however they are lacking on the Xbox side of the fence still yes I prefer Microsoft. No audio during stories once I completed 60% of the game. Glad I paid all the money for the extra packages. Unfortunately I always expect something to pop up with Xbox for this game because it's made for playstation. I expected them step it up for the Xbox players this time round but it seems to remain the same. If your an rdr hard-core fan buy it now, if not wait. Once again disappointed in their efforts to correct any failures or bugs let alone support us on the Xbox side. We are not a close second or priority for them, just more money in their pockets. For me, the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is beautiful, but the shooting, cover, heavy animation, context sensitive buttons, and poor menus makes for a frustrating experience. The only cool open world stories are the stranger encounters. As a game, it is at the bottom of my top 3 this year. You can actually have fun and not stress over missions and free roaming, can actually accomplish missions and goals. Online version, trying to do missions is pointless and frustrating. People wait for you to start a mission most of the time you are not even in a mission and just minding your own business and hunt you down, killing you with a one shot instantly. They wait for you to Re-spawn and do it again. Absolutely pointless and not worth my time to play online and get pissed off all the time. Anyway, that's my opinion of the game. Take it or leave it. Save your money and do not by the digital version of the Ultimate Edition. The in game items are not worth the added money from the basic version of the game. I love the game, I do regret getting the version that I did. You are basically paying more for less.
