  2. In the 16:8 method, the period in which you are fasting, that is, without eating, is 16 hours, with a “window” of 8 hours for meals.
  3. To do this method you must stop eating at 20:00, for example, and resume meals at 12:00 the next day. Starting at 20:00, you must restart the fast, following this order every day of the week.
  4. In the 8-hour “window” it is recommended to have between 3 and 4 meals, prioritizing fresh fruits and vegetables; whole grains, such as brown rice or whole grain pasta; lean proteins such as fish and eggs; and legumes, such as beans and chickpeas. Know which foods to prioritize and which to avoid during intermittent fasting breaks.
  5. At all times it is important to maintain good hydration, drinking a minimum of 1.5 liters of water a day, and drinking natural coffees and teas without sweeteners or sugar is also allowed.
