School shooting in Canada, five dead

  1. Five people were killed and two seriously injured in a shooting at a school in Saskatchewan, and the alleged perpetrators have been arrested.
  2. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the incident in La Loche Community School that "every parent's worst nightmare."
  3. Trudeau added that a suspect has been arrested.
  4. A witness revealed when the incident heard a number of shots and the shouts of the people.
  5. Speaking in Davos, Switzerland, told reporters Trudeau said he has received data on the number of victims of the Canadian police, who "has convinced me that the situation is under control."
  6. "Obviously, this is the nightmare of every parent and all of us in this country.
  7. Trudeau also praised "the first to react to the incident which act swiftly and boldly".
  8. Brad Wall, premier of Saskatchewan province, said the shooting occurred at a school in Aboriginal communities but did not give further details about the victim.
  9. The school has about 900 students, ranging from kindergarten to grade 12 (high school equivalent).
  10. "I ran out of the school at the time," Noel Desjarlais, a 10th grade student, told CBC News.
  11. "There was a lot of people shouting, and at least six or seven shots, before I get out. I am sure they happen more shots when I was outside."
  12. La Loche is the Aboriginal community of about 3,000 people, located about 500 km northwest of the city of Prince Albert.
  13. It was the worst school shooting in Canada since 14 people were killed by a gunman in Montreal Ecole Polytechnique in 1989.
