  3. Be patient, it does take some to begin. Then you might also experience flickering of certain images while browsing the web. I was under the impression that I was running 10. If I remember correctly you have the ability to restore from a specific point in time.
  4. Anybody in a situation similar to mine find a solution? Read on for a full walkthrough of the process. If you download the Supplemental Update from the App Store, it runs, updates the current High Sierra installation, quits, and deletes itself.

  7. Hello everyone, Today I tried updating my macbook pro 13 inch, mid 2012 to High Sierra. I get the following message. Try to update from 10. I cannot find anything on Apple's west on this issue or where to get firmware updates. You may need a firmware update too before you can install High Sierra. I know that isn't much help, but I am thinking that it should install and there should be some hope. However, there is a seemingly odd mix of machines with this issue although it seems more common with MacBook Pros, with no particular model or configuration happening more than another. I was updating a late 2009 iMac i7. I can still gain access to all the data via Target Disk Mode, but no way high sierra update failed effect repairs. Apple should probably actually verify what type of storage exists and build toward that. I have the same problem and have tried most of the 'fixes' folks have listed on here and various other forums. Have just got off the phone from apple - and spoke to three different people over a period of two hours Diagnostics have now been taken and sent to them for their engineers to look at. They said they would call me be back within the next four working days.
