Reports claimed that the al-Nusra front's spokesperson and prominent leader Abu Firas al-Suri was killed on Sunday in northeast Syria in United States air strikes. Firas' son and 20 other Nusra fighters were also reportedly killed in the strikes. Firas was a senior member of the Nusra Front's policy-making council and a founding member of the group.
