The Unabomber, household fear based oppressor Ted Kaczynski, is the subject of Manhunt: Unabomber, another miniseries from Discovery about the FBI profiler, Jack Fitzgerald, who helped catch the Unabomber in 1996 following a years in length pursue. Since the dread and intensity connected to the mid-'90s case has faded away in the mediating 20 or more years, contemporary groups of onlookers of Manhunt may be thinking about whether the Unabomber is as yet alive. The man behind the assaults is as yet alive, and still imprisoned for his violations in the United States Penitentiary Administrative Maximum Facility (otherwise called the ADX) in Colorado, which was called "America's hardest government jail" by The New York Times.

He has kept on communicating with the outside world through the composed word, however. The University of Michigan gained an accumulation of Kaczynski's written work and correspondence going from 1969 to 1998, including letters and an endeavor at a personal history, as per the University of Michigan Library. As per Yahoo News, Kaczynski has kept in touch with an assortment of friends through correspondence throughout the years; one of his letters read, "I specified this to Ramzi [Yousef, the World Trade Center shelling mastermind], and he needs me to disclose to you that since your birthday is the same as his, you and he should have comparative identities." Another letter stated, "I see myself as to be in a (moderately) blessed circumstance here." In 2005, Kaczynski's letter to New York Review of Books was distributed by the magazine, and got a reaction from István Deák. Kaczynski and Deák's correspondence about "African dwarfs" and the different derivations of the verifiable understandings of the expression "predominate" does not specify Kaczynski's past, or even his detainment.
