How to save fuel while driving

  1. In order to save fuel while driving you need to follow a few simple rules:
  2. 1. Keep a safe distance from the car in front of you this way you will not brake too often and you will not have to accelerate back to your cruising speed.
  3. 2. When approaching a roundabout or a traffic light take your foot of the accelerator, but don't put the gearbox in Neutral.
  4. 3. Respect the speed limit and accelerate gently to get to your cruising speed. (this is good for your clutch too).
  5. 4. Try to keep the engine in the maximum torque rev range - the less effort the engine makes the less fuel it will use.
  6. 5. Drive with your windows closed ... the wind will cause drag and that uses more fuel than the air conditioning.
