Parents often do not/can not see you childhood as you did. If they can, it is too painful for them to look at. Additionally, people become set in their ways as they become older.
You can’t count on your parents coming to pick you up off of the ground. *ESPECIALLY* if they are the ones who put you there when you were kid, you are completely right and it would be the completely justified thing for them to do.
They just don’t have it in them.
If you want to get off the ground, you are going to have to pick yourself up.
If there is something you want that you do not have because of a childhood influence you need to get therapy for guidance in putting an end to that influence yourself ———or face never getting what you want.
Crying about the injustice of it, especially if you are right. Isn’t going to produce any results at all.
