  1. Could not connect to one or more vcenter server systems 443/sdk

  3. Since then I get the yellow bar mentioned above. It turns out this is a bug in vCenter 6. Tracking that down might help me fix it so it includes the hostname.
  4. They don't expect the host name to change, it is a bit more static than an ip address. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can you create a host file or something or have your dns resolve sslfarm. You will need to repeat this for the other two services and once you have finished un-registering the three services, you can now log back into the vSphere Web Client and the error message should go away a service restart is not necessary.
  5. We started running low on C: drive partition, so took some space from D: and we were good to go. Waited about one minute for screen to display starting services and display that server was now Running. It mentions ip address only. Might I shed some light on this? If you change something on the host, the vcentre database might be out of date - not ideal but not a major problem. Perhaps i wasnt very clear in the post. You will need to repeat this for the other two services and once you have finished un-registering the three services, you can now log back into the vSphere Web Client and the error message should go away a service restart is not necessary. Somewhere during security auditing we require to provide several information to security team to get successful audit. If the correct services were unregistered, try logging back in to the vsphere Web Client. I have had vcenter servers die due to them running on older hardware, I have replaced them without issue using the same names. You can register multiple vCenter Server systems with a single vSphere Web Client.
  6. Black Manticore - Therefore, there's nothing registered with the Web Client. I've done a lot of searching but have not found a definitive answer.
  7. I can't quite make heads or tails of the issue, but it appears I have a duplicate vcsa or certificate issue. This error just started occuring. The original host became mostly unresponsive yet the vm's were still functioning - I had to pull the power which dumped all the vm's on it. All services appear to be running. In any case I'm getting the connection err now. Could not connect to one or more vCenter Server systems: I even tried installing a new vcsa 6. I can however logon through vcenter web client and see my 2 nodes under system configuration vcenter and psc. I also see 3 other instances of the vcenter, each with the same cert date. Since the issue exists with my 'newer' vcas install, I wish to shut down the new one and restart my original vcsa that I've removed from inventory. Should there be more than 1 cert for the same vcsa. Looking at an export of services, it shows a dupe as well. What about re-issuing certs, would that be of any help. Grasping at straws here with limitied know-how. Any help would be appreciated. Eric Interestingly enough, I'm seeing this same issue at another site. I ran into that specific problem only when I accidentally did an unsupported upgrade from vCenter 6. could not connect to one or more vcenter server systems 443/sdk You can read more on that here. I agree with Jona that this is a good opportunity to contact support. But the fact that the drive space configuration is not disabled as some other fields are gives me hope that I can safely update it here. I've done a lot of searching but have not found a definitive answer. That's why I'm hoping someone here can help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you change something on the host, the vcentre database might be out of date - not ideal but not a major problem. I know that the vpxd service wasn't running but it made no difference when I started it back up. I'd have liked to been able to follow through figuring out what the issue and fix was but ended up spinning up a new one due to time constraints. There were only about 200 vm's on a cluster of 6 hosts. It was originally a fresh install of 6. I didn't check for duplicate dns entries so I'll take a quick look and see if anything is still lingering NetworkNerd, I'll definitely check out your post as there's another gent a cube away still on 6. I rebuilt the vcsa 6. Is the vpxd log the main one I should be looking to for errors or are there some others. But now the question, how did it get shut off. Every time I restart it, I only have a few minutes before it shuts off again.
