It is a mountainous region after all and one of the things to do in Tajikistan is to climb the Fann Mountains and explore what the most popular tourist attraction in the country has to offer. It’s not just one big mountain. Fann is a series of mountains and there are around one hundred summits within the area. The highest peak in Fann is Chimtarga at 5,489 meters. The shortest hill is about 1,500 meters. The Iskanderkul Lake is located here and also the Kulikalon Lakes. If you are into trekking, you can fully enjoy the mountains from May to October. If you are into mountain climbing, the best months to go there are from July to September.
