How to mine Monero (XMR)
Mining Monero is one of the last coins that you can easily mine
by youself at home — so how do you actually start mining this privacy coin?
It is presently the coin which is profitable and minable in your PC/ Laptop.
Step 1:
Create a monero wallet or use a deposit address from exchanges like Binance. If you are
creating a wallet, don't forget the keywords, in case of reclaiming the wallet.
copy the wallet address, it may look like

Step 2:
There are a few options for mining software. To solo mine, the CLI or GUI wallet
can be used, but with a CPU only. To mine with a pool or a GPU, dedicated software
will be needed. The following are some miners that support Monero mining, but do
note that some charge developer fees.
Popular XMR mining software includes:
XMRig
CSminer
N.B:- the mining software is classified as virus, so disable Antivirus, if any.
Here as an example, I am using XMRig and CLI (Command Line Interface)
Extract the content to a folder and create a batch file (.bat) in notepad (care should be taken
so that it is not a file having .bat.txt, in folder options untick hide extensions of file), as example:
xmrig -o pool.minexmr.com:4444 -u 87ZyQ65FWmEBkiJij6QFYfECKCqZTWbvkYnotzQSwKhhaxjQQyrGhbf8C7fJk6r345biqjHRqPV3i6GDEFnvGs5BR2db6tj
The above is the content of the batch file created, double click to execute.
Voila, be patient. Go to the dashboard of the mining pool, here minexmr.com, you can see
the progress and the coins earned.
