Many things can be used to attract tourists to come to the city of Surabaya. Besides some of the above there is one more thing that can be used, which is typical of Surabaya like ludruk art.
Maybe some people already know ludruk art. Ludruk is one of the traditional arts of East Java in the form of traditional drama by taking the stories of people's everyday lives, struggles and so the story is accompanied by music of the gamelan. This art can be displayed on stage by a group of art. There are two versions of the origin of the name ludruk, the first version is derived from the molo-molo (mouth full of chewing tobacco and about to be discarded and out of words that carry ballad / dialogue) and gedrak-gedruk (feet pounding on while dancing on stage). While the second version comes from the gela-gelo (shaking his head while dancing) and gedrak-gedruk.
