Street cart vendors are an integral part of the fabric of New York City. They’re our neighbors in Times Square, where we experience their entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to client relations every day. The majority, like Manhattan halal vendor MD Alam, are immigrants of color whose businesses have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
