  1. Subject: Dear Mr Cruz, you are an embarrassment to the great State of Texas.
  2. Body: Honorable Senator Cruz, I just got your newsletter about the vaccine and masks requirements. Your stance is absolutely ridiculous. One day after the Attorney General admonished Gov Abbott for breaking federal law by attempting to ban foreigners from not wearing masks or getting vaccinated because it was a violation of federal law. You come out with this absurd newsletter about all the conspiracy theories about COVID that may fool your Republican base and keep them unvaccinated and unmasked, leaving them vulnerable to COVID-19.
  3. Take responsibility for Texans health and mandate the use of masks and vaccines. As Geraldo Riviera recently tweeted
  4. "Hearing crazy talk on cable TV right now about folks having the constitutional right not to get vaccinated.
  5. Yes (they may be dopey) but they do have that right.
  6. We too have rights: to deny the unvaccinated access to our home, school or business."

  8. Another Twitter used chimed in with applicable case law, showing this is the case and the authority of the land.
  9. "SCOTUS precedent Jacobson v. Massachusetts rules that local authorities CAN mandate vaccination “Upon the principle of self-defense of paramount necessity a community has the right to protect itself against an epidemic of disease which threatens the safety of its members.”"

  11. So, you can bitch and complain about all the mask wearing and vaccines you want, but the truth is businesses and other organizations can ban people who are not vaccinated from our "home, school or business".
  12. Hopefully schools/businesses/homes won't allow people in who are not vaccinated or wearing a mask.
  13. Thank you for your time,
  14. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
