  1. The Nokia Asha 300 is simple, small and low cost. It's ideal for Nokia Series 40 users who haven't got to grips with, or found the need for, an Android, BlackBerry or iPhone. It has a 1GHz processor, a touchscreen and a physical keypad so you can choose an input method to suit you. The touchscreen is resistive rather than capacitive, which means it's not as smooth and slick as some other touchscreen phones. However the main numeric keypad is nicely spaced, making this a phone designed for traditional messaging or Tweeting.
  2. The Asha 300 has a 5 megapixel camera, it's a mid-range unit which won't win any awards but it's more than adequate for taking pictures and recording videos - which can then be shared instantly on Facebook. Usable memory is 140MB and can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
  3. Connectivity-wise there's 3G/HSDPA and GPRS for using the web. The entertainment package consists of a multimedia player, FM radio and pre-loaded Angry Birds Lite game.
